| if i were the DEA and i plannned to make Mj legal i would make all possession under 1lb legal. If you had more than 1 lb you were selling and you would be avoiding taxes which is not good. further rules would be all joints are to be individually packaged. marijuana consumption would only be legal in your house and driving under influence would be illegal. laws similar to open alcohol contianers would apply, if you are caught with an open bag or joint unwrapped you get a fine. any ideas? you know they are watching and maybe you can hasten the legalization process. |

The whole idea of having some amounts legal and other amounts illegal is ridiculous. Does the law tell you how many cases of beer you can have in your basement? Why should it tell you how much pot you're allowed to have? Does the law worry about you buying beer and then selling some of it to another person who can legally possess it? Then why should it worry about what you do with your weed? Treat marijuana exactly as you treat beer and the world would be a better place.

The DEA's funding corresponds directly to the black market of drugs, and legalizing pot would be like removing an entire variable on a statistics chart for their total profits generated from the "War On Drugs". Additionally, I wouldn't want to be a DEA agent for any reason regardless. Now if I were the US President, that would be a different story altogether... | |

| If marijuana were to be legalized today, I doubt that any law enforcement officers would be put out of work. Enforcing marijuana laws takes officers away from truly important work. There are plenty of murders and armed robberies that go unsolved. We're currently having an epidemic of homebrew methamphetamine labs. "Epidemic" means "not all busted". Everyone in the DEA could stay happily busy chasing meth, coke, heroin, and various psychedelics. |
