Anything inltelligent done in that office happens through other people.

I'd bet that he could spell intelligent.. <----(light hearted jab)

Regarding Bush, though I don't have "warm fuzzies" about some things, you can't tell me that the guy is stupid. Tell me what are these stupid decisions? Also, let me know how you discern what decisions are his, and what happens through these other people you are talking about...

I'll let somebody else talk about the black vote issue...

Here is a link for a petition to impeach Bush and Cheney:
http://www.votermarch.com/

Bush took a month long vacation after only serving 6 months in office. Either he didn't know about the impending attacks because he was slacking-off or he was on vacation because he knew there were going to be ground attacks. Either way we lost.
IMHO the way the white house is using "terror attacks" this week to divert attention from Bush really sucks. "Our" own government (The one not democratically elected) are the terrorists now... using terror to distract us for their own political gain.

Every President gets to take long vacations...............

Besides, even on vacation, it's not like they put their phone on the answering machine and do nothing. They are constantly getting updated on things, getting the same daily staff briefings, making calls etc.

Did you every see how many people go with the President on "vacation"? They're not all there to help even out the sides for a volleyball game.

as much as i hate bush, saying he 'woefully neglected to protect america from terrorist attacks' is total crap. what you should be concerned about is how hes using sept 11th to label dissenters and anyone who might disagree with global corporate rule as 'terrorists' and is pushing towards an Orwellian world.

this crap has even trickled through into my own country australia, possibly the safest country in the world against terror attacks. i bet osama couldnt even find it on a map.....

heres our own little slice of america

****************
Creating a new offence called “terrorism”, the proposed laws could enable government prosecutors to have social justice and union activists imprisoned for 25 years for committing an act or threatening to commit an act that is made “with the intention of advancing a political, religious or ideological cause”. The act, or threat, could be as little as disrupting an electronic system.

Under the legislation it will be an offence to even possess “a thing associated with a terrorist act”.

FREEDOM is beginning to simply mean the freedom of government and corporations to exploit and prosecute anyone they want.

Bush is a slacker. I'd much rather have a pres doing biz on the phone while eating a slice of pizza and getting a BJ at 2 AM like Clinton. Thats the kind of leader we need now.
Bush still takes two-hour lunches while he is in Washington, exercising at 11 a.m. when most people are still hard at work, as he did when he was Texas governor. I wonder if he still plays computer video games at "work" these days, as he did when he was Texas governor.
Where does the buck stop nowadays? Certainly not with Bush... he doesn't do any of the work himself. He just signs the things he is told to.

Default Germany does not want him back

It cost 11 million euro for the wages of police in Berlin alone.
For a 19 hour visit.
Wherein he tried to stroke the Germans into believing he wants more than support from them.
He wants the obedience of the Governors.
Why did this seem like the Emperor visiting the provinces in anticipation of a vote in the Senate?
That the German Government is afraid to antagonize America is, from this end, easy to see.
There have been so many German politicians and Editorials explaining how America can do it all alone, how Europe cannot keep up militarily and how you appease the worlds only super power and still maintain some pretense of Sovereignty.

It is also amazing to see Germans burning an American flag.
People.
call me a liar.
call me naive.
I LIVE here!
For the longest time, Americans in Germany were heros. Sure we had a war, but we rebuilt this land. And no, people do NOT forget it. That Bush and his policies, not alone policies concerning terrorism, have created this sentuiment through sheer bullying tactics and arrogance, a disregard for allies and other cultures, is sickening.
In one year, using a simple disregard for any other Nation in the reach for his own dubious goals, Bush has alienated the people of Europe.
The politicos dare not say much more than what diplomacy will allow. And that is okay, because that is the oil with which diplomacy works. It is however, painfully obvious to Europe that America could take this ground militarily. And many do not trust Bush not to think of that as an easy way to get European support.
Of course it is a far reach. We Americans know that.
The Europeans are not so certain. I mean, in their eyes this is a war monger cowboy. Who embodies all the typical old American weak points. Even if they USED to be cliche's.
But the people are the voters of Politicians. I have never seen such anti American sentiment since I have been coming here.
But these people also know that the elections are due in less than 3 years.
They can wait.
Me?
I never thought I would miss Clinton.
Bill!!
Come back......

Do the Europeans take responsibility for much of the world problems? Four Hundred years of colonialism did wonders for global stability. It’s funny how quick Europeans are to criticize the U.S, perhaps historical ignorance to a universal problem.

Cool There is a human trait...

in all of the European response,Happyman. That trait is the one where we say "it's not our fault! We didn't do it!"
Even though it's as plain as the nose on your face that this all leads back to European colonialism, just like you said Happy.

What do you mean history?????? The UK is still doing it in a big way and France is still in the colonial game to a lesser degree.

Does France forget that they supported the formation of Israel? Or Germany forget that their actions were probably the single biggest reason that the country even exists today? I bet Belgium, the Netherlands....oh hell, almost every damn democratic country in Europe, if not all, voted to form Israel. They bear blame too.
