It is very naive to think that eliminating Osama from the game will solve the Al-Qaeda problem.

The US bombing of Afghanistan has allowed for the rapid dispersal of thousands of men across the world ready to take the blood of Americans. Legitimate targets in thier eyes. Al-Qaeda is not your typical organization. They do not rely on Osama for orders, just recomendations of what course of action they should take against the great satan.

It would be much deadlier if there were thousands of Arabs and non Arabs ready to spontaneously kill their neighbors because their leader was killed.

THe only real solution to this problem is to conceed to the terrorists. Yeah, I know the flaws in this, and the message it would spread to other resistance movements around the globe.

America should just leave Israel to its own destiny than mingling with it. The US Mid East policy is what is setting off all the anti American hatred.

same thing as above, the imigrants go to american coz they are fooled to think that america is the land of oportunaties, when in fact they'll have to work in a sweatshop for 10 cents a shirt they make. What if your kid that you love so much end up working in sweat shop. Dont puke nonsence (sic)
America is the land of opportunity. If someone comes here legally, maybe with some resources and an education, they have a great chance at making a better life for themself here. But when they come here illegally, they have no right to expect a decent paying job or any opportunity. This is not nonsense! What is wrong with asking the rest of the world to respect the sovereignty of the United States?

Are you upset that I don't like that fact that my country is swamped with illegal immigrants? They come here, tax our resources, demand healthcare, and have little to contribute to the economy except cheap labor, which they cannot even legally perform! My point was that there are legal ways to come to this country, and that if you want to come here, you should follow laws pertaining to immigration. I wouldn't try to enter another country illegally. I would respect the fact that other nations are sovereign and have a right to define the terms on which they will accept immagrants. That's all I meant by that.

No where in my posts have I said that the rest of the world should worship America. If you do a search on my username, you will in fact find that I am often critical of my Government. I have never once claimed that America does no wrong. There is a lot to improve in my country and with my government, and I am glad that at least I have the freedom to say these things and try to improve the situation here. There are billions of people in the world who do not enjoy nearly the freedoms that my fellow citizens and I enjoy.

I think you are incorrect in stating that the world is pissed at America because of people like me. I belive that most people that have a great respect for their home country feel as I do. America is not always right, and there are reasons for the world to have grievances with us, but it's not because of our stance on immigration.

I stand by my statements that America is the Land of Opportunity.

May I refer you to the Council on Foreign Relations Website which answers just that question..

definition. The State Department defines terrorism as "premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets by subnational groups or clandestine agents, usually intended to influence an audience."

Paul Pillar, a former deputy chief of the CIA's Counterterrorist Center, argues that there are four key elements of terrorism:

It is premeditated—planned in advance, rather than an impulsive act of rage.
It is political—not criminal, like the violence that groups such as the mafia use to get money, but designed to change the existing political order.
It is aimed at civilians—not at military targets or combat-ready troops.
It is carried out by subnational groups—not by the army of a country.
Intrestingly enough, the bombing of the Marine Barracks in Lebanon which killed 241 Marines Would not fall under this definition of "terrorism"

Perhaps you should try to solve your own countries problems instead of trying to find blame with the U.S.

Ya know, as an American it gets very tiring to constantly listen to international people constantly blame America for all the world's ills... We bend over backwards for the rest of the world but only get no appreciation for our efforts... only harrassment and general hostility... Learning appreciation would be a good start for the international community... although its doubtul they will..

Yes, I agree with you Happyman.. Doritosman, worry about your own backyard before taking out your aggressions on innocent Americans..

granted the U.S. does muck around and has done some terrible things. However compared to European history the U.S. is a saint. The entire comtemporary political geography of the world is shaped by 500 years of European foolishness. All the countries in the middle east are european creations. India and Pakistan exist as they do because of the British. Vietnam was abused by the french. The Spanish killed their way across south America. Why aren't the European's taking their share of the blame for world problems?

We are dealing with European legacy. A legacy of unrestricted rape of other people.
