Angry What are the options?

This new al-queda statement said that bin Laden is alive and he'll strike again. Since we dont know where he is, the military doesnt have lots of options other than look for him and kill his allies.
I was wondering what are the options once he is found? What will that court that Bush created do with him? If he is ever caught. kill the bastard? torture? prison for life?

This paranoia that america is going thru is not going to end till the mofo dies. So what will Bush do next? The only thing i can think of is he will nuke Afeghanistan and make it a parking lot, i dont like this, but is this the only option? Bin Laden will do something bad and another 6,000 people will die, he'll strike back. And even after his death people will continue. Its like trying to fight a wall, you'll only hurt yourself.

I'm having second thoughts about what i said before, maybe we should nuke the f*cker. When will this end? and how? The way things is going america is going to became a prison, no one will ever get in or out. Total isolation, and bush is an isolationist, if he could he would do that. Drug lords in Brazil were recorded saying that they were thinking about buying a missle from al-queda.

Whats next?I'm really worried, will i live till i have kids? Will i ever see a nuclear blast?

If you think about it, when the cold war was around. There was that nuclear fear too, but you knew who the enemy was and where hes was at. You knew that you could pick up a red phone and have him on the other side in minutes. I think that the older folks probably miss that, knowing who your enemy is. Even i miss the cold war even tho it was over when i was born. Times have changed and so has the enemies, Russia and the commies are not that bad guys now. Now we are afraid of the bearded men with turbants...but we dont know where he lives and we cant call him with the red phone

im confused

It's hard fighting a war if you don't know who your enemies are!

i think were all better off with osama still alive in a cave somewhere. i think now, with all this terrorism around, that the chance osama or anyone else could pull off another big terrorist attack is fairly slim. a 'dirty bomb' would be very bad though, and seems to be the most plausible method of attack in the future.

theres no need to turn osama into a martyr and create thousands more crazed killers. maybe im totally wrong, but osama is just a figurehead, and i think his death would create many more terrorists, and probably some extremely smart ones, who are just as much of a threat as osama, if not more.

Interesting theory.

This conversation reminds me of the movie I saw yesterday "The sum of all fears." Interesting special effects, decent story, still to hollywood. Ive heard the book was ALOT better. Check it out if u want to see some cool special effects though.

I like the option of stop bombing foreign countrys and killing innocent civilians and making ourselves as bad as them. Maybe thats just me though. Peace-

I think the only way to stop Al- Qieda is to give them what they want, mixed with some strong civilian action on the part of America. Same name, different dance. Terrorism is just as cowardly and barbaric as Guerilla warfare was 300 years ago. If we don't get with the new program, we're gonna get whooped up just like our musket toting line dancing predecessors who refused to reform due to moral and ethical reasoning. When your life is in danger Morality and ethics should be the last thing to worry about.

We should turn Afganistan into a giant sporting goods manufacturer. Getting paid 10 cents an hour for a 14 hour work day, is better than eating garbage and selling yourself on the street.

I'd like to see some of our American Terrorists, go toe to toe with their cheat malnurished under educated terrorists. I learned how to make bombs in 9th grade for crying out loud! It wasn't actually like that, but once you have a mild understanding of chemestry, blowing things up is really only a matter of a drive to the local hardware store. Also we could manage to get as many innocents as possible (they didn't look so innocent on 9-13 parading around in the street making odd noises and doing wierd things with their tongues).
I'm not one for caring much about anything. If they think this is America the monster, then maybe we should show them the real American Monster. If we weren't so concerned about playing nice and fair, we could have Bin Ladens head on a stick on the White House Lawn, and the oil rich middle east would be one big Idustrial sector. With the obvious exeption of Israel. We can't stiff the Jews, they might allow bad programming to air, and merge banks twice as often. That would be real chaos.

If I was the soldier that found OBL, i would waste the fcuker at the first opportunity. I'd like to see his head brought back here on a stick. Make him a martyr. Bush's military tribunal would find him guilty and sentence him to death. Wasting him on first sight would just save us the trouble, expense, and risk of having to house and feed him during the tribunal.

I still don't trust a country that has nuclear warheads targetted on our cities.

I think about this **** all the time. I have a kid and I wonder what kind of world he is going to know. I hope we implement some damned good semi-isolationist policies to protect this great Country.

That's just wrong. And why would we want to send good jobs over there when we have so many illegals right here at home willing to work for dirt cheap?

A dirty bomb isnt really that bad, since most of the istopes that terrorist can easily get have a half life of about one or two days. The really bad stuff, nucelar power plant waste, and atomic bomb material, is very hard to come by. At worst a huge dirty bomb would only harm an area the size of a small subarub. If you follow goverment advice after the expolision and remain in your homes with the windows closed, you really wont have a problem. It only raises your risk for certin kinds of lung cancer by one or two percent. If you want to worry about a nucelar apocalypse, worry about india and pakastan, and thats not even that big of a threat.

but where do you draw the line between a legitimate resistance and terrorism? the current definition seems to be whatever the US decides is in its best economical interests.

Good point.

Another Good point. I don't know that I can expect more from people that label plant growers as terrorists, and spend our tax money to instill that into the minds of our youth. The reason we have to buy it from a "terrorist" black market is because they keep it illegal. Peace-

same thing as above, the imigrants go to american coz they are fooled to think that america is the land of oportunaties, when in fact they'll have to work in a sweatshop for 10 cents a shirt they make. What if your kid that you love so much end up working in sweat shop. Dont puke nonsence.

US probably has a lot more nuclear warheads pointed to a lot more cities, and not just in Russia.

The thing that worries me the most about this is that they keep testing bombs to show off. But after they press the red button its bye-bye earth or at least a very big chunck of it.
