Questioning motives and integrity. Where do we draw the line, since our leaders won't manage it on their own.

Guess I'm trying to show correllation between the word war and money, as it relates to motives and our government. Drug war, war on terrorism seem to both be excuses for incumbants to have their way with money, or open opportunities to garner more of it. Capitalizing on misery or war for alterior motives strikes me as wrong.

I've known for a while that most wars are motivated by $$$

in 1984, George Orwell (pen name) wrote that:

War is Peace
Freedom is Slavery
Ignorance is Strength

this was a book mainly gestured towards political satire but the book was actually written in the 40s (i think) as a sort of prediction of what might happen to a "utopian" like society in the near future.

those statements are what Big Brother wanted the masses to believe in order to control them. i think if you take a deeper look especially at War is Peace, one can see how closely it parallels some of our own modern day societies with emphasis on the USA.

id say when the other two statements seem to be true in a particular situation especially "Ignorance is Strength" which to me pretty much translates to "Ignorance is Bliss", then one must really question the authorities in control (power).

Dave Matthews wrote a good song about "Freedom is Slavery" when he wrote that Ants Marching tune.
