starting a flyer - Page 11

150 flyers were passed out in a white suburban neighborhood today. My friend and I walked around my neighborhood door to door. We hit 150 different houses, if it impacted one person it was worth it. We are going to print twice that next weekend and bring 2 more friends. It only took an hour and a half to pass out all 150. I also spread influence to other people on AIM. I got 5 people on our side through means of the internet. Many people say "your wasting your time" to me. There have been many attempts to try and legalize pot in the past. Although, none have been successful because of one crucial fact. They didn't have the facts, we do. We can scientifically prove the government wrong, and thats exactly what I intend to do. Un-do the brainwashing one person at a time.

It's really great to see that people are getting active, getting the facts about MJ out there to the public. Once enough members of the public are more informed on the topic of marijuana they will no longer tolerate the hypocrasy of the current laws.

why not tell about all the good things that cannabis has done without use any reference words ie"pot, marijuana..ect" tell how it may be a cure for whatever and that it can produce cheep rope fabric and other things. At the top of the page introduce it as "THE PLANT OF THE FUTURE" and at the bottom in the smallest print possible say "welcome to the world of cannabis".

there you are, running thru a field of wildflowers, having a blast and marveling at the beauty of the world...no worries, no cares...

and THEN a voice comes on and extolls the virtues of Fleet Brand Enema Solution.

no but really, that might be the way to go, get people to go for it before they realize what it is..

I've seen that done. They present facts about side effects of the drug. They usually compare alcohol and marijuana. Then they say which of these drugs is illegal? And ofcourse everyone picks Alcohol, and the safer one Marijuana ends up being illegal. Then they get back into their ignorant mindset thinking that they were decieved by the evil marijuana demons.

I think you should do some research and state the real reasons why weed is illegal. Use the political reasons: llike the 1937 Marihuana Tax act.......look up Henry Anslinger, and look up Dupont. I think when you find how all of these things are are connected you will be quick to want to put these things on your flyer. Sometimes the truth is what makes people think again. PLus dont forget to add some kind of eyecatching art work...... I think that the American flag is an excellent choice.

Most people who dont agree with the consumption of marijuana are usually republicans.... I am not saying that all republicans dont agree, I am just saying that the usual profile of a republican includes a drug free lifestyle.
Maybe you could "spin" the truth in a way that appeals to such folks. FOr example you could state fiscal reasons for why it would be better to legalize it. Thats just a thought. Good Luck to ya! I know this is really late, but you never know who might be trying to do a little "grassroots" (LOL) organizing.
