| Are you planning to open up a Flyers section (user-submittion)? that would be a great idea, but there should be a rating system for them, so really bad ones don't get used too much.

| Hey, Rick, mailboxes are off limits -- federal offense. No kidding. Unless of course, you put the required postage on them and mail them through the system. It's okay to put them on doors -- some communities require you to register to go door to door -- even if you are representing a not for profit or just yourself. As far as tagging cars -- that's illegal too in most areas, as is distributing them on most private property. I know, where is the first ammendment anymore! heh. Just giving you some tips to stay away from abusive LEO's. There are many of them out there who absolutely love to f' with activist (no matter what their cause). |

| Thanks for the heads-up on the legal issues, SacredNaCl. We have done some investigation into this and will be posting some guidelines for flyer distribution. I'll post here when there is more news. Rick Quote:

| Fabulous effort! Get in there, promote the message - kudos! It may also be helpful to include a sentence, perhaps in the upper left where the logo is, regarding VOTES. Please, encourage them to write, vote and support candidates aligned with their thinking! Let the politicians know they won't be abandoned by typical "soft on drugs and crime" sophistry, when attacked by opponents. See if you like this quote: Abraham Lincoln Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded. Speech, 18 Dec. 1840, to Illinois House of Representatives. Perhaps shortened to: Prohibition will work great injury ... for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.

| Lookin' good! I noticed this: Alcohols effect on the body has very well known consequences Make that possessive: Alcohol's effect.... IMHO, Prohibition has no intention of keeping harmful substances away from society, if that were the case alcohol and tobacco would be first on the list. May do better as: If the intent of prohibition were to keep harmful substances away from society, alcohol and tobacco would be first on the list. or: If the intent of prohibition were to protect society from harmful substances, alcohol and tobacco would be first on the list. (shorter, direct form makes it fit inside the small mind a little more forcefully) Either way, a really nice "gotcha" thought for the ending! Oh, and I really like the development concept - it grabs the "pro - prohibitionist" audiance with "their" viewpoint, then gently rotates that into the truth. |
