| Winning the War against the DEA - Hate : Part 1 I hate the DEA. That may seem funny when said in a casual way ie "Don't you hate the DEA?"... "Yeah, I hate the DEA, they're a drag man". Hate is very powerful, yet, we take our hate for granted. We don't use it to its full potential. Now before I get going let me make one thing clear: I am not advocating violence in any way against any person. But imagine hate as a tool of reform. If everyone started each day by spending just 60 seconds envisioning a DEA agent being shot or having his skull crushed under the heel of a boot, wouldn't that be powerful? Just to sit, focus, channel ones hate to a fine and true point. If we all just took some time out of our daily lives to hate, profound changes would be bound to occur. Imagine a group hate. A group of 30 or so individuals get together and for maybe 15 minutes they just concentrate and hate the DEA. They hate them as much as they can. The hate would be felt. The hate would have to be addressed. Hate gets peoples attention ![]() | |

| Imagine having a life. Imagine getting off your azz and doing something real to reform drug laws instead of sitting around an imagining a person getting killed for doing their job. Imagine how you make pro-legalization advocates look when you advocate sitting around, "focussing" your hatred over images of violence............while trying to convince people that mj users are mostly non-violent people. ![]()

| And dea agents woill no longer be a source of hate to us. Your methodology is wrong. Hate breeds one thing, the same thing. I am sorry, I am very pagan. I know trhe rule of three works. I cannot use your method. I do not wish that much harm on myself. A unique perspective I suppose. I could very very easily have become a law renforcement officer. I am that good at what I do, and was offered the job a couple of times. *Umm on the basis of A couple of clearances rated above what you need to know or I am supposed to talk about..ever. a clean record. Plus extensive schoooling in anti-terror convoy and defense tactics. Explosives work*NOT EXPERT*, m-16 expert 10 years running blah blah blah. and NBC defense schols. plus anopther language* marijuana laws was one reason I never took them up on it. But it could have been me you are hating at. If youare going to use the power of thought. Well, the Mother is only going to allow positive images to become a force. Do the same thing and visualize Americans filling the ballot boxes with votes that bring in pro legalization politicians. You just might accomplish something. Kelly

| Hatred is what has gotten us into the situation. It made people like Nixon blind to what experts were recommending as far as marijuana is concerned and touched off the war on drugs of the past 30 years. The only way that we will ever get marijuana legalized is to get people to listen to the facts about cannabis and the costs of a drug war we clearly aren't going to win. People need to be convinced that there are so many other things that we could be spending all this money on and get them motivated enough to agree with us and demand similar action from their representatives at the state and federal level. One major problem that I see with the DEA is that they're not allowing countries outside the US the right to self-determination. Columbia is the 3rd largest recipient of aid from the US for the love of God. They threaten Canada with tariffs when our northern neighbor ponders decriminalization or legalization. They screw around in Peru. Bolivia essentially told us to stick it finally. This does nothing to dispel the image that the US is a bully. Is it really our place to walk into another country and tell them that they can't grow opium poppies even though farmers make 10x more from them than normal crops? |

| Just like in 1984 with the three minutes hate? See, all the loving people in the country all stopped what they were doing, sat down, and directed the full force of their hatred toward the same target for three minutes straight... It was an effective form of brainwashing. Hatred blinds you to possibilities. Feel sadness for their ways, don't just blindly wish they would get crushed under a jackboot. Buddhists have exercises for generating compassion where one of the advanced techniques is to learn to radiate love toward your enemies. The Dalai Lama wholeheartedly endorses it. Without compassion toward those that wrong you, you're no better then they are. In fact, hatred makes you more like them then you'd like to admit. [post-edit] Hatred is a parasite. As soon as you start hating, it's hard to stop.

| I have to agree with NiteShift and everyone else. Although we sometimes say 'I hate the ____' when we see a kid busted for a dime or someone's life destroyed because of a plant, most of the time it is just for an instant. I don't hate anyone, even the people who would love to throw me in jail when I smoke up. The truth is, even those politicians waging a war against MJ (that are not doing it for corrupt reasons) are doing something idealistic that they believe is good. I have at least some respect for anyone standing up and trying to change the world for what they believe is right - especially people who risk getting killed everyday for the public and in return get looked down on. |
