I dont know if Gore would be better but it would be different, but whats done is done....

What I am hoping for at this point, is that the checks and balances in government come through... As it has been set up, there are 3 branches... and all 3 are of equal power and authority.. none are subserviant to the others.. and all work to balance each other out.. As long as that balance exists our nation should be able to stand up to any threat internal or external..

I've done a bit of looking back at the founding fathers of our nation, and they were extremely intelegent, alot of thought, wisdom, knowlege and experience went into the documents that have established us as a nation, indeed an argument could be made that they were the most brilliant minds to ever be assembled at one place at one time, and as such I believe they anticipated and wrote the Constitution and foundation documents in which we base our government on sound principles, which protect us from any one of the 3 branches of government gaining too much power.

At this point I'm putting my faith in the better resoning and hoping the words that were written so long ago are not forgotten..

I must say that I agree whole heartedly on this issue AlphaWolf.

From very little political knowledge, I believe Dick Cheney can do a better job of president than George Bush. I do not believe Gore would be any better than either of the 2.

Things like this make me scared of the things our government is doing, and the power it is gaining with the war on terrorism and drugs. Makes me paranoid and almost makes me angry.

think about it... if you impeached bush who would become president??

That doesn't concern me NEARLY as much as the worry the country had when worrying about who would be president if Bush Senior had any problems.
