Not really. The poppy, as well as the cocoa plant do not grow well in the US.
Actually, in several areas of the US, poppies grow quite well [yes, opium poppies]. My ex's Grandmother grew poppies [as a cash crop] for the Chinese railroad workers in central California - and not that long ago, when you think about how recent a development rail travel is.

the fact the government even had the audacity to make such statments is completly absurd. it just goes to show how dumb our government thinks we are. to bad we can't say their wrong. right right... if you buy pot u helped slam an airplane into the twin towers... my eye! i can't even understand how many people out their arn't even using common sense. prohibition=black market=crime its that ****ing simple.

although the bio mass fuel thing i don't know if peple always take into consideration all the variables involved with the oil industry. the fact we are stilling minning oil is dumb in terms of technology considering they invented a pill that turns water or some basic substance into useable fuel. see though if water was to replace oil the oil companies would die thus killing jobs for everyone who works for them as well...lowering our economy even further...although with biomass fuel the process is quite the same to oil production just instead its farmed instead of mined...so would biomass be able to create enuf jobs to replace all the people involved with the oil industry. I am sure a very large part of pot being illegal is threat to business..considering pot has use potentials probably equal to oil or greater considering oil doesn't get u baked

but still it is no excuse and i don't think the war machine is the answer either although its so obviously clear thats whats gunna happen its pathetic.... the twin towers=pearl harbor and now the war machine is gunna get started up to bring back economy. see the way they figure it is sadam and all his afiliates are like a sliver in america's paw... its their its anoying it get infected sometimes and cuases problems...so they figure by letting the terrorists get away with a big crime just one time that it will be good enuf excuse to get the war machine started as well as tie the war on drugs in their as well for added measure....so now we kill two birds with one stone...we need supplies for a war which generates jobs profits and an economy...as well as get that nasty sliver out of our paw...we will definately go to war no doubt...unless their is another way to bring back economy the way war does...but their isn't becuase people love a good war...it's our nature to war so we probably will...not to mention US govt is getting tired of sadam...they have wanted him dead since bush#1 was pres...

but the war on drugs has no excuses...its roots are COMPLETELY racial as well as illegal in the ways it elimanates competition in a free capitolist market. although you would think america would instantly drop the war on drugs and destroy a large part of terrorist income...as well as create a little economy...hell with more than 72 million people that smoke pot im sure marijuana would be an equaly competitive market with beer...thats another one the beer companies are afraid of pot becuase they know it doesn't cuase you to beat your wife or children...kill people with your car...or kill people by overdose as well as many other things alcohol does to you.

their is no excuse for the war on drugs, but when it comes to replacing the oil industries their are lots of factors involved...even if its all the greedy rich white oil owners faults its still a problem and killing that many jobs would be suicide...

the way it might work is cars will develope a new power source..(unless the government is preventing this too..u never know when it comes to US govt..) now that i think about it i wouldn't be suprised about that either....i meen come on we have nuclear reactors that will last long enuf to outlive plenty of generations and we can't create a fuel cell that lasts...its all about economy though...

ya figure a war will cut our population and create jobs and get rid of the middle east problems...

the war on drugs creates jobs and profits, but as well as destroy lives and kill, hurt, and damage people and famalies.

so basically if your lucky...your born into a finnancial secure situation...otherwise your one of the unluckies born into a society damaged and crippled by the war on drugs...

it's time for a change....i bet something big will change sometime soon...it has to...the way america is and has been governing for some time is a failed method of governing...cuase eventualy if the **** hits the fan all the money is in one place...

i wonder if all the money owned by american citizens was divided equaly among every US citizen how much money each citizen would end up having

politics suck..

Post Here's my 10 cents..

My 2 cents is free

Marijuana and Terrorism in America

When I originally wrote that, less than 3 months after the attacks all this crap was just gearing up. I thought I may have overstated my case.

I no longer think that at all.

Quote:
Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar. – Julius Caesar

Is the Empire about Oil?

Marijuana Culture in particular has been demonized less because drugs = terror, even though thats what is being shoveled to the sheep. Cannabis represents the end of oil as a monopolized means of production, the decentralization of wealth-creation - the death of the Empire.

Default TV LIES

The TV lies because it's main function is to sell products and get people to continue consumptive, versus sustainable, lifestyles, as well as "keep them in line". TV has been great at rounding up and quelling the herd. Large swaths of it at least.

It's the original and most powerful gateway drug. Most people cringe at the thought of their child sitting around alcoholics or cigarette smokers: then they'll turn around and comment how good the children are to sit in front of the TV and not bother Mom and Dad. Children are bathed in TV from the word go.

The single biggest issue with TV - and the point that makes many people really mad when I say it - is that TV requires that you shut off your intellect and you active thought. TV is totally about you recieving messages. Its not like you have an "interaction with the TV: you don't converse with it or tell it what you think.

You just sit there..absorbing. Bathed in advertising and programs designed to capture your attention...to sit there to be bathed in advertising. When Bill Maher said too much that was real and true, sponsors of ABC whined. No more Maher.

It is advertising especially that wants your critical thinking turned off. You must consume. Advertising exists to get you to chose to consume - and in the modern capitalist society, that is most usually something you don't ned and that needn't have been produced in the first place.

Since the Nixon Election, the TV has been the primary tool of political manipulation of the masses. Since Team Bush entered the White House televison has become an outright 24-hour-a day propaganda machine - and thus the quote from Ceaser.

TV is an integral piece of cannabis prohibition in that it now determines "reality" for a huge number of people. If its on TV then it must be real and true. That's the power TV has.
