Lightbulb Drugs=Terrorism I Think Not

I would like to know how our Gov't think that Drugs=Terrorism. When "most" of the drugs that are bought and sold in America are grown or made here. If anything or anyone supports Terrorism its our Gov't. Where do we get most if not all of our oil. Saudi Arabia, Right. Its been proven that they support Terrorism. So where does all that money that we spend on oil. If my theory is correct we are in a way paying for both sides of the war.

Buying oil=Money for oil goes to Saudi. The saudis give some or most of that money to Terrorist groups.

Defending our Country=Our Tax dollars go to our Military to defend ourselves against Terrorist Groups.

What is everyone Opinion on this.

Thanx,
TTown

I don't know about drugs in general, but if you buy pot, you're supporting canada... or mexico, or jamiaca, or even the US. Possibly terrorist countries, but it's more likely your support fo terrorism comes from buying gasoline. Strangley, that issue is never mentioned...

The president has said that all drugs are bad, in one way or another. Of course, since he also theorizes that "most of our imports come from other countries", I tend to ignore him...

Clearly the sale of some drugs, those 'other than' marijuana, support terrorism.

Actually, most are NOT grown or made here.

a large portion of the dro that we get is usually locally grown or from canada. as far as a majority of the big drugs like codeine, heroin, and opium etc all come from poppies which come from the middle east.

And of course, the beautiful irony with the war on pot is that we can't grow hemp (well, that was the real aim, now wasn't it) and do biomass conversion of it into gasoline. We could kill two terrorism birds with one stone (though I doubt marijuana is a big cash crop for terrorists, given that most of it comes from the US and nearby countries.)

well, my opinion that gasoline does in some way support terrorist and enemy nations. but it's not only the United States, Mexico, or Canada, that buys the oil, Europe, Australia, South America, Asia, Africa (not as much as the other continents) also buy the oil from the mideast. but I guess it's safe to say the states use more oil than any country in the world.

the herb i get isn't from Canada, or Jamaica, or Mexico, most of the stuff i get is from friends who grow, or from dealers who grow it themselves. but the rest i guess could go to supporting terrorist, but i'm sure some stuff like opium can be grown in the states. but i guess that doesn't really change much for addicted users

if the DEA would discuss marijuana on its individual merits instead of just labelling it a 'drug' , then maybe we would make some progress. just think, if it was legalised... they could focus their resources on dangerous hard drugs. they could even use some of their huge budget to treat and educate people about drugs, perhaps even set up 'shooting galleries' so that addicts are not constantly exposed to danger and disease.

the problem is, then they would have to stop stealing cash and other assets from marijuana growers, and if they successfully reduced the drug problem drastically, their funding would no doubt be less extravagant. prohibition is big business, with government sanctioned powers.

anyway, thats my rant

"but i'm sure some stuff like opium can be grown in the states."

Not really. The poppy, as well as the cocoa plant do not grow well in the US.
