Events such as these aren't good for confronting people like Asa. You only get a certain amount of time, usually one question per person, and you usually don't get to respond to his answer. The deck is stacked in his favor; he'll simply skate around the issue in his answer or present a myth, and you won't be able to point it out.

And I do think there are more than a few of LEOs and DEA officials who prefer to go after pot users rather than other drug users out of safety. Granted, I can't prove it, but I think it's a possibility.

I feel such great sadness when I hear that the big-wigs, the men in whose hands the power for change really lies, have nothing but distorted statistics, untrue "facts," biased opinion, and just plain BS to offer. I am willing to give them some benefit of the doubt, that they mean well, and then I see in the news, or read it in the alternate news sources, that they continue to spread a message that causes further misery to the very people who are trying to ease that misery in their lives.
Many people who smoke are ill or in pain; others find relaxation and peace of mind, not to mention love for their fellow man in a couple of social puffs. Noone I have ever met went out and got violent and ugly after smoking a little pot.
Those who require it medically should have access without the interference of the law. They have big white collar criminals to catch, real killers, real robbers, big-time thieves, and of course there is the border to watch.
What on Earth are they doing waging war on their own citizens?
iI'd be very interested in your synopsis of his visit to your school and your take on it. How did the students react?
And does anybody else think they are throwing up smoke screens to cloud the issue of war against the middle east for the sake of American oil interests?

Why don't you ask him what level of threat the suffering people in wheelchairs provided that warranted a raid? Something like that, I don't know, just getting pissed thinking about him after watching him dodge questions and respond with utter nonsense.

Why would any DEA agent want to bust a toxic meth lab instead of a harmless cannabis dispensary where they can 'confinscate' medicine? There not blind, its just that they won't see.

Shaman, were you possibly suggesting that with all their high-tech surveillance equipment and powerful weapons, including warrants from the most powerful Judges in the land, the DEA are a bunch of bullying cowards who bust the most easily available targets, making themselves look good for the press, and saving their asses for another day while they're at it?

Shaman, back in the dark ages, I was prescribed methedrine for asthma; now I read that the four Canadian soldiers were bombed by some trigger-happy American flyboys bombed on dexadrine.
I had quite a time adjusting to a non-speed asthma med; do these speed-freak flyers have any withdrawal symptoms, I wonder? And do they come around and mourn what they did? And were they using good old American pharma output, or a little something the DEA picked up on one of their night raids?
Oh, the questions that come to mind....
