| on monday, asa huchison will be giving a speech here on campus at baylor univ. and i plan on attending. i'm not sure of the topic of the speech, but legalization and other related topics are bound to be addessed as he is the head of the DEA. anyway, i need a good question to ask him. i'm leaning toward something associated with the 600 page canadian report that recommends legalization, but i think that might be too easy for him to wiggle out of with the usual array of untruths at his disposal. thanks! | |

| Asa does have a tendency to evaid anything he doesn't want to talk about. Stage a protest! Also, please ask him nicely, pretty please, to STOP SHUTTING DOWN CA DISPENSARIES! ![]()

| "In many circles, U.S. drug policy is under attack. It is being criticized primarily by those who favor a legalization agenda. It is also being challenged by those who approve of the trends in Europe of decriminalization, harm reduction, and distinctions between hard and soft drugs. I have had occasions to debate many of these proponents of a shift in U.S. drug policy. Invariably, the arguments for change are based upon misinformation and distortions of the real facts in the United States….In deciding where to go with drug policy, we have the responsibility to look at the facts, dispel the myths, and make progress." -Asa Hutchinson A good question would be "Where do you get your facts sir?"

| "'what function do you envision the DEA serving when marijuana is legalized?" HAHAHAH! I love it! Perhaps they would concentrate on busting up the thousands of clandestine Meth labs in my county, like they SHOULD be doing now! |

| "why wont the dea bust them?" Well, picture yourself as a dea agent. You have two potential targets; A) Meth lab that is possibly in someone's bathroom, most likely guarded by tin-foil-hat tweakers armed with shotguns ot B) Medical Pot garden loosely guarded by a feeble patient armed with a wheelchair. You decide. |
