Default Throw drug offenders in jail... unless they're Noelle Bush?!

Jeb Bush oppossed an amendment to give a break to first-and-second-time drug users by letting them go to rehab instead of jail, calling it's supports "clowns"

Yet when it's his little girl, it's such a different story. She gets busted for a forged xanax script, goes to rehab, and then gets caught with someone else's pills. Now she's been caught with crack cocaine.

Suddenly, this is a "private matter" because "The road to recovery is a rocky one for a lot of people that have this kind of problem."

And yet they'll kick the living sh*t out of some poor SOB who's suffering from chronic pain and is smoking pot to help them get through the day.

I swear, if they don't throw the book at this girl like they would with anybody else, I'll need medical marijuana to stop from constantly projectile vomitting in utter disgust from the hypocrisy in this country.

Still though, alls we do is sit on these boards and ***** about it, what do you expect? Its not like we all stand up and ***** at the government about all the hypocrisy when a celebrity or politician or any of their family gets arrested and let off with a slap on the wrist, i think this is as much the problem as is them acting like their kids and family can do no wrong because they have a higher place in society. Then again i dont stand up and say anything either so who am i to talk?

You would think with crap like this we would all stand up *shrugs*

Perhaps when I go to court, I can just say, "Your honor, I request that all of my charges be dismissed, because I would like my privacy respected and I want it to be handled as a family matter."

Sure, why not? SHEESH. Then to have the audacity to prosecute one more person for posession is a f****** CRIME.

I LOVE that photo!

On a serious note, I did write a letter to the whitehouse about Noelle's most recent bust, expressing my sympathy and support during their family crisis - let them know that many of us in the marijuana using community understand what it's like to watch a love one incarcerated for repeated drug violations, and failure to comply with treatment.

I also said that I'm sure, since they're all good christians, that if they spend enough time in prayer together, perhaps Noelle will be rehabilitated while she's in prison - and I hear the prison sentences for multiple drug offenses can be quite lengthy. Mentioned that I'm sure, with the president's hard-line stand against drugs, and how drug trafficking supports terrorism it must be tough to find out they have a terrorist in their own midst....

Funny thing is, if the Bush family had not tried to intervene, and had just let her go to jail, you guys would have branded the Bush family as "calloused ***holes for not helping one of their own." Seems you just can't please some people.

Frankly, considering the nature of her offenses [the one that gets me is prescription drug fraud] I wouldn't have been particularly inclined to say s*t about her going to jail.

I seriously doubt that people around here are 'calloused' - more like resentful. No one likes to watch someone powerful play fast and loose with the rules - exempting their friends and family from the laws the rest of us have to abide by.

I wouldn't have... I'd have been stunned that somebody who's either rich, a celebrity, or has political ties actually went to jail for their drug offense...
