I've been writing my senators and my representative for a while now. I think I'm the only one in my class who can name both our senators and my representative. Just remember, e-mails mean virtually nothing. If you want to contact your senator, use physical mail or the phone.

I have sent emails, typed letters, and made phone calls.

Better than doing nothing at all, and just complaining about how things are at the present time.

I care. I really do. I just know the way our current set of politicians work. They don't want to discuss medpot as they don't want to appear "soft on crime". Oh, they may say things like "It needs more research" or "The FDA needs to take a closer look at it." Now if you have a conservative rep then don't even bother as their lines will come straight from the DEA play book.
But odds are, they'll never even see your letter as they have aids who filter such email.

As I said before, I would rather do something than nothing, no matter what the issue might be. Not just cannabis legalization. My original post was not even about cannabis legalization. It was another matter entirely, but you obviously did not read that.

That particular letter was concerning the economic stimulus package. Basically saying, "get off you ass and vote yes!"
