one thing i dont understand is how our government can be such hippocritical little bitches. they make weed illegal but in the first world war they paid farmers to stop growing there crops to grow pot for the war. befor they illegalized lsd in 1962 the government paid scientist to experment with its mind control device. they paid people totake it and that itself caused the acid movement. you can not introduce something so wonderful n then when people start to like it just take it away

Maybe I can explain it to you.

They did the same thing during WWII, after marijuana was made illegal. They needed hemp cordage and cloth for the war effort. The government has nothing against hemp per se. It's only illegal to grow it because, besides fiber, it produces an illicit drug.

They were trying to develop a weapon. Why would they want to release a weapon that they thought could incapacitate enemy troops on their own population?

I might not be able to do that, but governments do it all of the time.

The American Republic and the constitution has been the best attempt at this, but it obviously needs some more work. Because it's such an ambitious goal, it requires work of all of us, people like you and me, to defend our rights from tyranny. Our founding fathers did a bang-up job protecting us from institutional tyranny, but the constitutional protections are not set in stone. They must be looked after with vigilance, at all times. "The only requirement for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing"

That's the gist of it, I think. It's not like pre-revolution (whether American or French) society is something to desire a return to....

unless the people unite and overthrow the gov't it's a fool's hope. the weak shit they are doing now (petitions and the like) isn't going to cut it. you think the big wig lobbyists care about what we say think or feel? fuck no. an uprising would be one of the easiest things we could do. if every american wanted what we want, we would already have it, so that's out of the question. but there will always be a gov't and there will always be people who oppose them. it's just the way it is. so, basically like the title of this thread says "fuck the government"

instead i say we all go visit dubya's ranch and shit all over his doorstep. a shit of biblical proportions. then we can all go out for a scoop of vanilla. how's that sound to you?
