We have the perpetual question of whether a candidate is better off "going negative" or not.

I find it rather timely, ergo my post.

Same here, when a politician goes negative I think it's because 'they' are afraid.

I hate how politics have become in our country

From what I can garner it seems, all too often, to do exactly that. And that's why I ask the question.
It's especially pertinent as the 3 candidates move into the 'end game'.

The irony is that most people when asked will say that they feel one candidate going negative on another is offensive and counterproductive.

If that were truly the reality of it then Politicians would not mud sling as often as they do.
The 'gunslingers' that each candidate hires to pull the trigger are always waiting in the wings.

I'm really curious about how people here feel about this choice.

Yea, you've got a lot of company there but think about it.
Politicians only behave in ways that they have found to produce the results they want.The responsibility for that lies squarely on the shoulders of we, the people.
Somehow we can't face up to the fact that Politicians are like a perpetual 'trial balloon'; seeking and then acting strictly on our Thumbs up, or Thumbs down.

Funny, pathetic and sad, all at the same time.
I guess on the bright side one could say that we, in comparison, have made great progress.
Thing is, on some level I prefer the antics of the "Ruskies" and the Brits to Americans.
At least they are honest enough to put it out there for all to see and digest. That, as opposed to coming on with the big and then slipping one our backs...
