Default Jack Kevorkian to run for Congress?

I consider the man a hero and will definitely be listening to what he brings to the table...

Kevorkian to run for office

Kevorkian is planning a bid for Congress.

(CNN) – Jack Kevorkian, the assisted suicide advocate currently on parole from prison, is planning a run for Congress, a Detroit newspaper reported Wednesday.
According to the Oakland Press, Kevorkian is planning to mount an independent bid in Michigan's 9th District seat currently occupied by Republican Joe Knollenberg.
"We need some honesty and sincerity instead of corrupt government in Washington," Kevorkian told the paper. He also said his plans are in the "formative stage" and he would make a formal announcement next week.

Nate Bailey, a spokesman for Knollenberg, told CNN "the congressman is working on turning Michigan’s economy around and bringing jobs to Oakland County…He’s focused on working for the people of Oakland County, not on politics."

Kevorkian has said he has helped well over 100 people die during the 1990s. In 1998, he was formally convicted on second degree homicide for assisting in the death of Thomas Youk, who suffered from Lou Gehrig's disease.
He was released from prison on parole in June.

Very interesting. Based on his principle of showing respect to people who make the choice to die early, and assisting them in their endeavor, I like him already. If I lived in California, I would vote for him.

Hey, if the governator can get into office, this guy should too.

The Governator ain't nothin but pre-fab Reagan drama gone sick and sour, a bit of fluff masquerading around in a batman costume.
While joe sixpack half struts his lame imitation and in rejection bottoms out in a tanker of ale, a soul, asking nothing, giving everything, is shat upon, castigated, and derided for deeds never contemplated, puts shame to us all.

Is there anything more we can ask of a brother, than that which Kevorkian lays upon our table, to forgive us our servitude to apathy and ignorance?
Here is the essence of love, manifestation of all our fear and sadness, giving with such mercy, checking the moments we never hoped would come with a spirit blessed by our Mothers and Fathers, Sons and daughters,
to bring us life...

He probably will win. I expect him to get elected while Ron Paul is finishing his 2nd term in the White House.

I find it fascinating that a person with soul of such compassion, engendering an enormous amount of controversy, is roundly castigated and thrown in prison; who's mission in life is to relieve a process of suffering that very few can imagine, many of those same individuals who, often illeagally, use marihuana to help ease their transition,
and only three people on this site feel compelled to weigh in.

Yet new member 'sherm' flagellates his way, earlier, into our collective obsession resulting in an orgy of blood lust.
Ignore the fool? Stay the course?
Give energy to that which results in real measure for us and those we follow?
Timely me thinks, as we all hope and pray for the Knight, the one to lead us forth from a Dynasty of disaster.
Do we focus on what's serious or lounge in the twisted moments that derange and derail us?
