I don't have a fixed religion I have my own views on life, creation, religion. Reading this has given me a lot of information I didn't have and has helped me associate my own personal faith with that of others. Thanks for all the interesting facts.

i was raised catholic. i stopped practicing shortly after i turned 18... the fact that i smoke weed has nothing to do with my religious beliefs, at all. i classify myself as agnostic, currently.

I'm an agnostic, and a philosophy major. According to Stephen Colbert, though, a certain "God" created everything.

Went to catholic school for 12 years, stopped practicing after about 7 years in catholic school. Being there for so long and having the concepts forced down your throat, you rebel for the sake of rebelling. I would watch the preachers of the good book not practicing, and me actually looking like an ass for practicing it. Had enough of that, switched to atheism because, well, I was a badass rebel! I suppose now I'm not an atheist... not quite sure I am, although I'd definitely like to read more books on certain religions. Some I'm interested in are Tao and Buddhism. Any suggestions from the beautiful members of the forum?

What I believe is that there is a god however you can call it anything you want. I was raised a christian and the more I went through catholic schooling the more I realised how stupid the religion is. The bible is full of contradictions and if it was actually written by a divine being (Jesus) there would be ZERO contradictions. This means all these ideas come from a human mind such as my own because all of the ideas and messages are so limited. As goes for every other "religion". I believe we're free-thinking human beings no different than a dog or a monkey, just a higher level of intelligence and that god is everything around us, including us ourselves. God is nature, and no, nature can not judge us and send us to "heaven" or "hell" because judgement is a human quality, it doesn't make sense for a god to posses all of these human emotions, like I said it just points to the fact that a normal every day person is responsible for all of these holy writings.

Yes, I know but a lot of his teachings are in the bible, reported by his closest of friends.

I'm reaching up and reaching out, I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me. And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been. We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
