A very true statement, but realize the keyword there is "religion" religion is not God, religion is mans interpretation sp? I'm just a man and this is just my opinion, but I feel the teachings of God have been twisted through religion over centuries.

That's interesting. This is the second time I have heard of Singularitarianism. How could technology show the way? Technology can only do what a man programs it to do right? I don't know much about it, but sounds interesting.

Hahaha...singularitarianism and polygamy are not mutually exclusive to one another.

A Singularitarian simply believes that technology development will reach a state of exponential increase in the near future...it may or may not show the way, and I personally cannot say on that one...but it has the potential to go either way, and could very possibly lead humanity to its demise as well. I guess even circuitry has its G vs. E...and this is how it parallels other religions, except with the focus on technology, it is a lot more socially relevant to today's world.

I was christened anglican, however I consider myself largely agnostic. I believe there is not not enough evidence to either proof or disprove such an existance. Nobody is right ot wrong because nobody can prove it either way. I prefer to believe in human beings instead. We are here, we are the ones creating this world - regardless of it's origins - always attempting to improve it for the next generation. I prefer to place my faith in what I can see and touch - what is here and now, who is going to help me in my time of need. As for the afterlife, I simply have to say I have no idea. God could be real, then again so could Zeus. I do not know. I hold thanks for the true creator of this world, whoever it or indeed what, it may be.

is it truly that naive? I would agree that it is premature and naive for anyone to believe they know what happens after death unless: 1. they have studied intensely the stages of death through meditation and/or 2. they remember the process of any number of their previous deaths.

I for one believe in reincarnation, as it affirms and reinforces the teachings of the buddha and various buddhist masters throughout the centuries since gautama's enlightenment.

But I do not naively believe that I follow the only "right" religion. Indeed, I feel that the only "right" religions are the ones that do not force any of their followers into any arbitrary contracts with God, and which do not attempt to put a copyright on Truth.

All religious beliefs are just bullshit myths made up to pass the time and make people feel warm and fuzzy inside.
