I am other.

I find myself bordering between gnostic and agnostic...essentially, I am a spiritualist.

gnosticism, for those who don't know, is one of the earliest forms of Christianity. The word gnostic means knowledge in Latin, or seeking the truth. I do not follow the bible to the letter, like every tru(ly brainwashed) Christian should, I seek out the truths and and lies within and use it to become more enlightened.

All religious beliefs are just bullshit myths made up to pass the time and make people feel warm and fuzzy inside.
"Nature herself has imprinted on the minds of all the idea of God."
- Cicero

Its just in our nature for us to seek more and the truth. Alot of people are raised in an area where all they have is there religion to look forward to. Like Marx said
"Religion is the opiate of the people"
Some people have nothing to look forward so they turn to something better. A belief that promises them paradise. Not to bad eh?

As for gnosticism, I pretty sure it predates Christianity. Probably more of a break off from Judaism. Which christianity also started out as, the Nazarene sect of Judaism, that is when Yeshua was still alive and preaching.

I know, Snipe*Star, I know. haha. I should be good, but my very lack of belief is already in and of itself antagonistic to those with strong beliefs. So, as some are offended by my godlessness, I am offended by these peoples' lack of reason and extreme willingness to reach a judgement so quickly on what to believe...it's not like you're at a restaurant and deciding what to eat, though some people treat it that way (having something new to believe in everyday)..."oooooooooh sushi, thaaaaat'sss keeeeeeewwwwllll! Can I get some bagavad gita sauce on that and a side of wicca?"

Just as much as I think religion is taken too seriously by those who would kill in the name of it, others don't take it seriously enough...it's just as trendy as a slap bracelet or tribal tats to a lot of corporate granola eurotrash gothic hippie fashionistas.

I find myself at a complex mix of taoism, buddhism, and some of the old druidic beliefs. Really its all about being a good person and respecting the people and things around us. So all and all its not really religious just in a way spiritual.

I am a Deist as well, but Deism is not a religion, since there is no dogmata. Deism is a philosophy.

By the way, just wondering... why do you keep saying "G-d". I realize that is prominent in Judaism, but since you consider yourself a Deist, you should realize that we aren't going to be damned for saying his name.

God, Jah, Adonai, Yahweh, Yah, Jehovah, Allah... go ahead and say his name

I'm a "agnostic atheist" which believes that there's no definitive way of knowing there is a God due to lack of any evidence and should not be believed. Until such evidence comes up, I will not believe in any mainstream religion.

hahahaha pwnd.

i myself am an atheist. i don't care what other people choose to believe as long as they don't try to force it on others and as long as religion and government don't mix.
