There are probably many ancient cultures that celebrate ancestors and their traditions buy smoking marijuana but not sure if there is any one that 'praises' the herb. In the movie 'Super High Me' they visit 'Temple 420' which is a man preaching religion off a marijuana basis.

i was just thinkin about the prcatice of marijuana in a religion because i read a blog called"why marujuana should be legal" and it talk about that some religions do it and that it should be legalized at least for them because its their culture and ppl should respect that they were raised in that particular way

There are several marijuana-centered "religions" operating in the US. From what I've read, they're really scams with the purpose of convincing contributors that membership will somehow confer immunity from the enforcement of marijuana laws.

In the Hindu religion, cannabis is considered holy to the god Shiva. In India, wandering Sadhus (Shiva-worshipping holy men) smoke ganja out of chillums to aid in their meditations.

And, of course, there are the Rastas, whose ganja smoking practices are clear to anyone who listens to Reggae.
