Seeing as we are becoming more advanced as a species, and things that were not once explainable are becoming common knowledge, do you think its just a matter of time that atheism would become the accepted ideology? Not that i'm for any kind of ism in concept, I just think that the ideology makes a lot more sense than any other religion being interpreted as historical fact. One thing to really think about as to a necessity to have a god in general, was the lack of education on once "magical" occurrences that today can be explained through science.
As civilizations teeter-tottered through different religions (ie:greek mythology, mesopotamian, christianity, islam), they could never completely abandon a concept of a god since there were many things unexplained at the time that today are understood once again, through science. I've also noticed recently a lot more atheists being able to express their views without the fear of looking like an outcast in the eyes of the general public (not quite there yet but moving in the right direction...in my opinion,which i am entitled to).
Now I'm not saying you can convert anyone but I am asking whether or not, with education, the internet, and future scientific discoveries, whether or not atheism will ever be accepted by the majority.

Any thoughts, opinions?
