Knatty,
Sorry for making you feel like you can’t speak you’re mind although you’ve spoken it quite well here Ha Ha. The thing is that I’ve seen people that have come from worshipping those gods to come to knowing Jesus Christ and they can testify that those gods had done nothing for them nor healed them but when they came in contact with Jesus they were healed and so on.. and the same with my experience with Him and that is why I fell so strongly about what I’m saying in my posts. I’m just giving you what I know to be true. I apologize for any inconvenience I’ve caused you all and if everybody wants to I’ll withdraw myself from this thread? So how about nobody moves, it was a bad idea. OK!

Hey robb, I want you to keep replying on this thread. That's great to hear about the girls receiving the holy ghost up there.

That verse about anointing those who are sick with anointing oil is in the book of james.

James 5:14

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

There is also a verse in the old testament that describes a brachiosaur very clearly for all you that think the bible doesn't mention dinosaurs. The verse is in another thread. I temporarily forgot where it was located in the bible, but i will hit u guys back up with a post with the verse.

Peace out!

Red face robb...

I used my mind and logic to come to these conclusions. I don't need a bible to tell me what's rght and what's wrong. Who said anything about a big bang? Is that the only arguement christians can come up with? Hey robb, did you ever hear of adaptations? That itself is proof of evolution. ever look at the root word of evolution? it's evolve. know what that means? To develope. know lets use what we learned in a sentence. A creature unknowingly adapts itself to survive in it's enviroment. know don't get me wrong robb, this takes time. it's just like stream lining. now don't tell me the bible says that's wrong too? and if your right, what are those skeletons of early humans doing in the ground? doesn't look like a party to me. Hey robb, do you know what's wrong with christians? They use fear to make people believe in the "almighty lord". Thats where satan and hell comes into play. It makes me sad that someone would call themself a slave. If your belief is right, did I mention belief, then God created you to tend to his garden, right? Know what also makes me sad? How people can be brainwashed into the fanatical state your in. Okay okay, if god created us, who created him? but thats a humdinger of a question isn't it? Your taught not to question the lord. hey, isn't that just as hard to answer as the big bang theory? Looks as if your religion did a number on you robb. surely rendered your mind useless. whats with all these verses from the bible. I think thats the christians way of getting out of an arguement. you just confuse everybody so they forget what they're even asking. Know what robb??? you need another online bible to copy and paste from. there are too many typos in yours. Robb, have you even listened to the words you preach? It's like children and santa clause. Robb, can you tell me what a GodHead bodily is? or maybe even what this means,"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit." see robb I knew you weren't listening. Can you tell me what that means? Robb don't be sad when your burning in hell. I'll be there with you. oh wait a minute, your the christian. you'll be in heaven... like your god said. He said that, or is it a she. Whats your god's name anyways? oh what, your religion is vague? whats this? Vague? and another thing. Why does the pope ride around in a bullet proof car? what, is he afraid to die and goto heaven? Hey robb, I could go on all night bustin' you up, but i got other things to do...like thinking. you should probably make that a hobby of yours.

Hey greenman:

I just want to say that microevolution is definitely a fact of life, and we have seen examples of it in our generation. Another thing though is macroevolution. I used to be cool with the idea of theistic evolution. But I know now that evolution goes against the scientific method of coming up with evidence to back up an argument like the one evolutionists hold. There is a hypothesis, observation, and conclusion. There may be more parts, but these are the essential elements that make up the scientific method. As much as I like to look at the cute evolution timelines and sketchings of the evolution of primates it just doesn't have any evidence to prove its theory. Its funny many claim that Christians are brainwashed when people haven't even considered re-thinking the theory of evolution. Its also funny how there is a great hypothesis and conclusion with the theory of evolution but no solid observation of macroevolution.

And about adaption, that is different from evolution. Adaptation is the process whereby a series of variations already within a population gets winnowed down to the few that are best suited to any particular environment. This is not a matter of adding anything new to the genetic material of the population, but simply weeding out what is not working as well as some other variations. For instance, a population of bears which wandered north at some point, gradually lost members with less fat, less aggressiveness, and darker fur, eventually leaving us with the white, aggressive, and fat-layered polar bear. There may have been some mutations or combinations which increased the fat or the aggressiveness or the lightness of color, but nothing which changed the essential "bear-ness" of the beast.
This is radically different from the type of evolution which posits that some kind of unicellular organism through millions of mutations became that bear in the first place.

Hey greenman I like you and I have read other posts of yours and you seem like a cool guy. I hope you don't think that I'm trying to oppose you. You seem like the kind of person who hates ignorance and people who put faith into things blindly without questioning them. Who doesn't? But I know many people who are convinced that there is proof that the theory of evolution is true. I ask that you would take another look at someone elses point of view.

http://www.carm.org/evolve.htm

Sure this is a christian site and I guess you think of it as propoganda from our side. But please check it out and tell me what you think.

I also know of a man who will give anyone 250,000 dollars if they can give concrete evidence that evolution is true. Someone told me yeah well the same goes for proving creation is true. Well I think creation could be hard to prove from a christian perspective, but if you don't trust your govt. about prohibiton, how can you trust their theories. I challenge you to think outside your govt.

Remember green, robb isn't trying to get on your nerves he just wants you to go to heaven. I want you to accept my God as well, but its foolish to try and convert those by chasing people down with fear that they will perish in a place filled with torture and flames (like you mentioned).

Robb and I are not catholic, (pretty sure about robb) and I know its hard to respect Christianity when we look at hypocrites and money hungry preachers. But we are not followers of the pope in no way. We are protestants, so we don't believe that religious ritual is necessary to have a relationship with God; just faith in Christ. Anyway I know someone is gonna say something like well what about the bible and its opinion on women. Read galations 3:28 it says there is no jew or greek, slave or free, male nor female for those who are in christ. We are one body. What about dinosaurs? They are in mentioned in the book of Job. Well I gotta go, hit me back with a post green, lates!

Question huh???

What?! Wanna know why there isn't any soild evidence? because everything that came before us is dead. And we sure aren't promised fossilization. Micro-evoultion is the result of genetic mutation through breeding, The breeding creates more and more genetic combinations. the new genes slow down the evoultionary process because their is a less chance of each gene interacting with eachother because of a large population that has formed through the breeding. Macro-evolution is what all the rave is about. Macro evolution takes millions of years to happen, this just doesn't happen overnight. Macro-evoultion just sums up the fruits of micro-evolution. The microevolution process forms subspecies, these subspecies create more and more as the breeding takes place. Think of a family tree, but the people are subspecies. since there were smaller populations back in the day, evolution occured faster. Most of the evolutionary mutations are caused by climate and food sources. Most people discredit evoultion because they don't understand the time involved. We don't know how old the earth is, so if anybody says that none of this could of happened because of the lack of time, they need smacked. Your copy and paste job is inconclusive. The author cleary doesn't have a clue what they're talking about. some of the questions were just stupid. like the dolphin queston. Aquatic creatures had literally all the time in the world the evolve into what-ever they like. Hey man, I have looked at things from a differnet point of view, I do it all the time. And because of this I decided not to be christian anymore. I decided that there wasn't a god through observation of the poly and mono-theistic religions that I've learned about. Don't get me wrong, i don't know a damn about anyothers. I just have a grasp on the main ideas. The only reason I look as if I attack christians is because it's the main religion in our society. Chirstianity was a simple answer to the things we couldn't solve 2000yrs ago. you spoke of the evoultion of man illustrated through a drawing of the different ape forms we went through, and how it there is no proof. well, have you made observations of the human skeletal structure? note that we still have a tail. small, yes, but it's still there. some people are even born with abnormally long ones. Notice our teeth. quite similar to that of the primates today. Also we still have body hair, and still emit oders, just as an animal. I believe the cause of our faster rate of evolution is due to the simple fact that we don't breed along a schedule as other animals do (mating seasons) allowing our genes to interact with eachother at a faster pace. I've heard a lot people ask why humans haven't evolved lately, and above is my answer. I disagree with the illustration of the evolution process. I believe we came from a smaller type of ape like creature. something like the form of a spider monkey. I'm afraid to go on because I might start to babble about something off the subject.

Default God in Nature...true divinity

I'll say this....I really think that there's a difference between praying, faith and believeing, as oppossed to connecting, feeling and worshipping the almighty. I would say that marijuana definitely and unabashedly creates a mindset to connect with the divine.
Also, I'd like to know...does anyone know if marijuana is legal if it is considered a pertinent and integral part of a said religion? I mean, supposedly, we have the right to practice whatever religion we choose without interference or dictation from the government. It's ok for Satanist, for example, to have animal sacrifices....why then, if a religion using cannabis as a means of enlightment, not be legal? Anyone???
Also...I dont want to even argue if there is a God or not. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. However, I do believe that some of us, at some point in our lives, do attain some connection with the cosmic conciousness, God, a supreme-omnipotent force, or even a portion of our very own brain that had otherwise been dormant. Whatever one wishes to call it, I must testify that it is an awe-inspiring and completely beautiful feeling that words cannot begin to justify.

Thumbs up I like it... I think...

well said dizzykatt. but the govt. just lacks commin sense, at a commin level. We're the peasents, our governors are the lords, the president is king, and the government is the law, and there is no robinhood to save us. Just like a fellow said in another discussion, as soon as Europe, Canada, and australia come around, it'll be pretty much U.S.A. verse the world. all we gotta do is become more of a voice, rather than a complaint, and stick it out. Or if people want to sacrifice their lives, we can have a revolution... but ah, I don't think people wanna do that just yet. Atleast i think.... haha peace...

Default I don't know dick.

You know...the more I try to reason and hypothesize about truth and connecting with God, or empowering myselves with the use of weed to allow myself to open to other 'realms'....the more I realize that I know absolutely nothing. I know what I perceive to be real. But then reality is just electrical impulses that my brain translates from the imput there before me. At least, I think thats reality. Who said that "the truly wise man (or woman) is the man who realizes he knows nothing"? Aristotle? Socrates? Can't remember.
Well, (lol) I must be the chick in the robe on the mountaintop! I think we're all in the same boat. We're all looking for a few of the same things. Now, I'm off on a psychology kick! Later, friends!
