Remember I Smoke Way Too Much Weed, and this question bothers me.

If god is a state of mind..what created the universe? If it is this god character, who was he constructed? He cant just appear because appearence is physical, is it a matter of it being metaphysical?

Then how in the hell did "all things that have lived and are living" come to be? If that's your definition, how did it create all things liv(ed)ing if it is nothing but pool of the aformentioned energy.

The problem is not my definition. It is your one sided view that some individual created everything. I just accept that this universe existed before me and will exist after me. For thousands of years people thought that there were dozens of gods and goddesses that brought about change in the world of mortals. For thousands of years people thought the world was flat. Religion is a great control factor in the societies of the world. Polytheism was around a hell of a lot longer than monotheism has. God in the proper noun sense of the word has existed for about 5700 years. This universe has been around about 15 - 30 billion. Do the math beats

How would you know Polytheism has been around longer than Monotheism? That depends on which religion you believe to be more true. If you see it in the sense that Monotheism was around first with the story of Adam & Eve, then I'd say, mono, but if your thinking Native-American Style myths, sure, then Poly. Personally I believe in the christian-style god.

The whole one-sided view arguement goes boths ways buddy.

I dont believe any religion to be true. Hell Christians can't even agree on what is trueth. And I ment God being the term used for the almighty entity that loves us and tortures us at the same time. In Christian beliefs, when i stub my toe "its god's will" when someone is killed in an accident "its god's will" when my heat stops working "its god's will"

Its really easy to live life guilt free when you blam everything on some mythical father figure in the sky.
All the story of Adam&Eve does is make people think they are more than what they are. Really complex monkeys.

You've (apparently) already resigned yourself to the belief that the Christian God is not all that there is, while a Christian will disagree; therefore, your belief, according to a Christian, is "one-sided." You’re being one-sided in that you apparently think that the Christian belief system is misguided – but how do you know that yours is not? Can you offer me “rock solid” proof that I’m wrong and you’re not? Of course you can’t; nor can I.

Religion is a matter of blind faith that is shaped by one’s personal experience - one either believes or one does not. It’s that simple. Just as I cannot produce to you, theherbalist, "rock-solid" proof that the Christian version of God created "everything," you cannot prove to me that He or She did not. Hence, we have the article of blind faith.

The only God I believe to be false is one that encourages violence upon others in the name of said “God.”

Some people don't have enough courage to act on their own will, so they kill in the name of God, doesn't make it Gods fault.

Thanks for the, defense though.

And besides, I couldn't prove he is real, or what he is, or how he does it. If I could, I in all probability, would stop believing in God, as I see him.

Stop twisting ideas around. This isn't to anyone in particular, but to alot of members on this board in general. Stop making generalizations. Not every Christian is a bible-thumper who condemns you to hell. Not every Christian justifies everything by God. Not every Christian, is a self-righteous, always right, guilt-free, mule who believes if (s)he or you breaks one rule your going to burn in hell.

I'm not going to take this anymore. If I was on here, flaming the Jewish faith, or Muslim, or any other religion/race, that'd be considering racist, or prejudice, or whatever.

Try thinking before you type.
