ok this dude i know was telling me about this strange theory he read about that says that old writings have been misinterpreted making us think that jesus was a person but he was actually shrooms. when people would write the name "jesus" such as "jesus healed a man" it was really mushrooms that healed the man and interpretors just assumed that they were talking about a man because it had a name. sounds weird huh? they explain it by saying that God is the father and send down his sperm (rain) on mother earth and the outcome was shrooms hence jesus was the son of God. the hallucinations and feelings of being in Gods hand were all due to eating these shrooms and the people worshiped them. my friend told me more but i cant remember all the evidence or theories behind it. anyone heard of that before?

And a mushroom fed the entire crowd with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread (or whatever the numbers were). How would you feel about a mushroom telling you to be nice to people and then handing you a loaf of bread?

Man, you can believe whatever you wany to believe. But after pondering that theory for about 2 seconds, I find my Catholic teachings much more believable.
