If god is real, why should we even thank him for creating life? It's not like we chose to live, it wasn't our decision. People who believe in god usually have a decent life, but what about the people who are put through extreme pain everyday? Why would they praise god for making them live throughout this pain everyday? God to some, is satan to others.

God commanded quite a bit of killing.

In Numbers he told Moses to command the Israelites to kill men, women, and children. In Joshua, God told Joshua to destroy a city, including all the men, women, and children. In Samuel, God commands Saul to kill EVERYTHING in the city of Amalek.

The Bible is chock full of orders to kill, kill, and kill some more.

According to God, you should kill those who do not worship God;

Suppose a man or woman among you, in one of your towns that the LORD your God is giving you, has done evil in the sight of the LORD your God and has violated the covenant by serving other gods or by worshiping the sun, the moon, or any of the forces of heaven, which I have strictly forbidden. When you hear about it, investigate the matter thoroughly. If it is true that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, then that man or woman must be taken to the gates of the town and stoned to death. (Deuteronomy 17:2-5 NLT)

I think the Jewish/Christian God is really all about death. In reality, none of this is correct because it's religion. Religion is about control, power, and the wealth of the ones in control. When the Bible's books were written thousands of years ago, that's how they got people to convert. They killed those who didn't believe as they did. That's what the Crusades and Inquisitions were all about. Spread Christianity through death and fear.

If Christians REALLY believe in their "faith" they had better get to being right with the Lord and start killing and doing the smite thing.

I also hate when people use the "its god plan" excuse. My disease/virus was in Gods plan? Why the hell would someone who "loved" me put that in his plan? Is it to make me stronger in life? How about including collage money for me and paying for my fucking doctor visits. Fuck you god. I dont care if you are sending me to hill id rather burn forever down their than have to spend my time with you.

in that case, i feel your pain Frid.
i've said this once and i'll say it again.
if you truly believe in god, then you understand how much of a burden it is.
i've tried to disbelieve plenty of times, and it's not the easiest thing in the world.
i feel like it's something that's stuck with me, not something easily detachable.
at times i dislike it, but at other times... hey that's just the way it is...
and as much as you don't like people who say well "that's god's plan"...
well... fuck... who knows who's plan it is... it's just how it is... and well... it seems like it's that way for a reason... will i ever know what reason that is? shiiiiiiiieeeeeeet...
but ask yourself this, has everything that has happened in your life made you a stronger person?

Thats the problem with religion, they make you think that you will never know "gods plan" so you will never question what is gods plan after all, you see?

I don't see this at all... I question God's plan and intentions everyday, just like most people who believe in God. It's human nature to doubt, especially when things are going wrong.

lol i question "god's plan" all the time.
and i never said i didn't think i knew what that plan was. i honestly think his plan is to smoke up the righteous, whether they believed in him/her/it all along. and a couple millennia of peace before the cycle repeats itself.
when i say it seems like it's that way for a reason, i meant my belief in god is still here... for a reason that i'm not completely sure of.
