Okay like, im totally for helping people in all that. But who in their right mind would want christians running a prison system full of murderers and rapists. Like smokey says, the criminals would just completely take the place over. If they want everyone working for the prison system to be christian, I doubt they're going to find the body guards to be able to keep that place under control. It would be a nightmare and nothing close to rehabilitation. Most murderers and rapists theres no help for anyway...

most reasons that people go to prison for are sins in the catholic faith... so basicly they´re saying if youre catholic you can sin and your punishment wont be so harsh, sounds a bit like publicity to me, a couple hundred years ago they were burning people for witchcraft now its almost like theyre saying its ok to sin as long as youre catholic..

That is just one aspect of Christianity. Others will bring up quotes about swords and still others will bring up quotes about turning the other cheek. Christianity is practiced in many different ways by many different people and by people of many different job occupations as well.

There are Christian soldiers as well as Christian doctors. Your claims that Christians would roll over and allow inmates to take over is an absurd one and when confronted with that fact you fall back on the idea that you can sum up a belief system in a couple of words.

Christians can clearly be effective prison guards because they already are. Your point holds no water.

Huh? Where are you getting that the punishment wouldn't be as harsh? Care to clarify because I honestly can't get the point you are trying to make, other than the obvious one that you don't care for Catholics (btw....Catholics are Christian but not all Christians are Catholic.)

Many authoritarian Christian homes are already prisons run by prison guards otherwise known as parents.

I don't believe that this will pass constitutional muster for two reasons. First, it is illegal to discriminate in hiring because of an applicant's religion. Secondly, the government can't force a person to accept religious indoctrination. Both are protected under the First Amendment establishment of religion clause.

They will probably argue that because this is a private prison, they aren't bound by second reason. But, because the prisoners are put there by the government, I believe they are.

I'm not sure a privately owned prison of any kind is a good idea, we'll see how it works i guess, if it even get's off the ground.
