| First let me say that I attend a Baptist church, and I firmly believe in Christ's life and eternal love. With that said, let me also say that I believe that marijuana is a holy, yes HOLY substance. I believe God gave us marijuana as a gift, and that its use in our lives can bring on many spiritual and personal revelations. First of all, it is NOT a drug. Marijuana is completely herbal, natural, and God-given. It isn't in the least bit synthetic, as is cocaine, heroin, ecstacy, etc. Marijuana is a beautiful thing, and God wants us to enjoy its intoxicating properties for His glory. You still with me? Good! Now, here's what I propose. A new Christian denomination, whose doctrine pertains primarily to the spiritual and personal ecstacy of nature. Today's Christians are so very arrogant and self-important. We need to focus more on God's creation than our own agendas. This means living as our biblical figures did, out in nature. We should live as the ancients, outdoors in modest tents, living a nomadic existence of peace, love, and total equality. It would be Utopia, friends! No beaurocracy to strip us of our natural freedoms. I know I sound like a crackpot, but think about it. If we could start a whole new hippie counter-culture, but with spiritual undertones. We could live a desert life on an island of some sort. Free and easy to enjoy life basking in God's eternal love. Give it some thought, and if you still think me mad, I'd love to hear why. ---Barrett Reynolds |
