| First let me say that I attend a Baptist church, and I firmly believe in Christ's life and eternal love. With that said, let me also say that I believe that marijuana is a holy, yes HOLY substance. I believe God gave us marijuana as a gift, and that its use in our lives can bring on many spiritual and personal revelations. First of all, it is NOT a drug. Marijuana is completely herbal, natural, and God-given. It isn't in the least bit synthetic, as is cocaine, heroin, ecstacy, etc. Marijuana is a beautiful thing, and God wants us to enjoy its intoxicating properties for His glory. You still with me? Good! Now, here's what I propose. A new Christian denomination, whose doctrine pertains primarily to the spiritual and personal ecstacy of nature. Today's Christians are so very arrogant and self-important. We need to focus more on God's creation than our own agendas. This means living as our biblical figures did, out in nature. We should live as the ancients, outdoors in modest tents, living a nomadic existence of peace, love, and total equality. It would be Utopia, friends! No beaurocracy to strip us of our natural freedoms. I know I sound like a crackpot, but think about it. If we could start a whole new hippie counter-culture, but with spiritual undertones. We could live a desert life on an island of some sort. Free and easy to enjoy life basking in God's eternal love. Give it some thought, and if you still think me mad, I'd love to hear why. ---Barrett Reynolds |

| I'm not exactly certain but I think their is a guy in Hawailli who already has created a branch of Christianity that believes marijuana is very spiritual. Personally I don't like the idea of monotheism. I don't view you as mad. I just disagree. I think good ol' Tim said it best when he said: Monotheism is the primitive religion which centers human consciousness on Hive Authority. There is One God and His Name is (substitute Hive-Label). If there is only One God then there is no choice, no option, no selection of reality. There is only Submission or Heresy. The word Islam means "submission." The basic posture of Christianity is kneeling. Thy will be done. Monotheism therefore does no harm to hive-oriented terrestrials who eagerly seek to lay-off responsibility on some Big Boss. Monotheism does profound mischief to those who are evolving to post-hive stages of reality. Advanced mutants do make the discovery that "All is One," as the realization dawns that "My Brain creates all the realities that I experience." The discovery of Self is frightening because the novitiate possessor of the Automobile Body and the Automobile Brain must accept all the power that the hive religions attributed to the jealous Jehovah. The First Commandment of all monotheisms is: I am the Lord, thy God: Thou shalt have no other Gods before me. All monotheisms are vengeful, aggressive, expansionist, intolerant. It is the duty of a monotheist to destroy any competitive heresy. Concepts such as devil, hell, guilt, eternal damnation, sin, evil are fabrications by the hive to insure loyalty to Hive Central. All these doctrines are precisely designed to intimidate and crush Individualism. The process of mutating into Self-hood plunges the mutant into this cross fire of neurogenetic moral flak. Most of the freak-outs, bad trips and hellish experiences are caused by Monotheistic Morality. Again, it must be emphasized, that Monotheism is a necessary stage. Monotheism is a technology, a tool, to bring pre-civilized tribespeople and caste-segregated primitives into the collectives necessary to develop the post-hive, post-terrestrial technologies. The major evolutionary step is taken when the individual says: "There is only one God who creates the universe. This God is my Brain. As the driver of this Brain I have created a universe in which there are innumerable other Gods of equal post-hive autonomy with whom I seek to interest. And my universe was, itself, created by a Higher Level of Divinity--DNA, whose mysteries and wonders I seek to understand and harmonize with." -timothy leary I think the whole idea of a nomadic utopia is cool, but I don't think humanity is ready for that yet. | |

| "A nomadic utopia" Yeah...that does sound pretty cool...so...what would it be like? And what would the humanity be like that would be ready for it? We already know they Smoke Weed...is it only a sacrement or is a recreational and medicinal herb as well? How would it be involved in the Utopia... And why would the Utopia be Nomadic? Where and why would it travel? (Ain't you glad I'm back to ask all the questions?....) like... ~ brownies anyone ?![]() | |

| After spending most of my life in a nomadic state of flux, I';d say I prefer to find a nice quiet spot close to running water and settle in. Maybe raise babies, maye cultivate food and medicine, but I'm definitely tired of moving around. Smiles, BD ![]() | |

| I'm telling you I've already been there. It travels with the good music. Ity stops at places like Hookahville, Jerry's birthday bash, The Spring Fling, the Marmalade Orangatang Shebang (I know I screwed up the spelling on that one) whenever Phil Lesh is in town, and a bunch of others. People smoke medicinally, recreationally, and as a spiritual sacrament. I have been there and I have felt the love. |

| Large plots of land are cheap in Canada. A commune there would be more economically efficient to start. I think that the life we are living now, centered on money, a job, getting a bigger/better place to live is f-ucked up. We get caught up in the materialism of society with concerns about our clothes and cars and all that, and then we lose sight of what really is important in life- family, friends, food, and good buds. I'm not a Christian, but I think that living a life centered on living in the glory of God would be most wonderful. Such a life would allow us to really focus on building strong families, providing our own food, growing our own buds... I want to drop out of this mess of society and start over fresh. Life in isn't really isn't fulfilling. end ramble |
