What the Hell is a "Muslim Jew"? It couldn't have been anything at the time of Christ because the Muslim religion didn't get started until 600 years after Jesus' death.

Aren't fundamentalist Christians the backbone of the current political regime in Washington who are hell-bent on imminentizing the eschaton, the final great bloody battle between the forces of Good and Evil? Jesus weeps while the Devil is having a belly laugh.

Even though the things the babylonian talmud taught were horrible, jesus still preached love for all humans, i can't find the specific verse right now where he says not to harm the followers of the babylonian talmud, but its in there.
"Let him that hath no sin cast the first stone"...? Maybe I'm missing the context of this coversation, but it seems Jesus was against violence in any form.

If that's true, why did he tell his disciples to carry a sword?

He also denounced the use of a sword when he was facing certain death.

yea,i guess Arab jew would be better?,a mulsim jew wouldn't have made sense to jesus, he'd be like "wtf" , it wouldn't have made sense to them at the time, but having our present knowledge of the past :

While outwardly Muslim, the Sabbateans secretly remained close to Jewish beliefs, and continued to practice Jewish rituals covertly. They recognized Sabbatai Zevi as the Jewish Messiah, observed certain rituals with similarities in Judaism and prayed in Hebrew and later in Ladino. They also observed rituals celebrating important events in Zevi's life. They interpreted Zevi's conversion in a Kabbalistic way.

My mistake. It wasn't in the bible where he was addressing the jews, but the Jewish Encyclopedia! When jesus addressed the pharacies saying something about the apple of his eye.

That has nothing to do with being against violence. He simply didn't want to have anything interfere with his fulfillment of prophecy. The admonition to his followers to carry a sword on the road was about the correctness of self-defense.

"Should a man strike you upon the right cheek, turn so that he might strike the other. While he's trying to figure that out, run him through with your sword."

I don't know about that. I have always looked at it as something along the same lines as the old african proverb:

"Walk softly, and carry a big stick." ----Use methods that keep you well prepaired to scare off any threat. Seriously, if a thief is spoting out targets, is he going to go for the one with really big stick/sword or the guy with nothing on him?

It isn't so much self-defense, but the presentation of the self to deter possible threats.

The original poster's statement is equivalent to saying that no one should listen to music or because is serves no useful purpose.

Also, pretty much every major religion in the world was founded because someone wrote a book (even scientology). Why only Christianity?
