I'm not afraid of not knowing. To the best of my knowledge, scientists are currently unaware of the exact cause. However, it would be historically shortsighted to assume that because we do not know why/how NOW, we will not know ever. By that logic, no technological advancement would have occured whatsoever.

It is my firm conviction that everything is scientifically explainable, with enough money, time, and brain power thrown at it.

I would hope that people not leap to conclusions if those conclusions aren't logically justifiable.

I will put it in other words for you. Many things once considered inexplicable have been explained. Things continue to be explained. There is a long pattern of the inexplicable being explained empirically. It makes sense to assume that this pattern will continue at whatever rate it does. You follow?

Your scientific knowledge is behind the times. Physicists can now derive the states all the way back to the Big Bang and beyond. It's called "M Theory". According to M Theory, the Big Bang was caused by the collision of two membranes in the 11th dimension. Different universes are created in the same way all the time.

There's no way to prove that we were created by God. Give up. In fact, there's no way to prove that God exists. There is no rational need for a creator. Things can simply exist. You get a lot better explanation for the nature of the universe of out of physics than you do out of a book written by pre-scientific scribes 1,800 years ago.

I'm more agnostic than atheist, but I'll answer nonetheless.
Pressure and heat that mere humans can't fathom. The forces involved would make our sun look like an ice cube by comparison.

Seriously. Why do you feel that it is your job to try to convert people that are set in their belief structure?
There are people out there who are lost and seeking answers. Target those people, as they're ripe for the picking. They need spiritual guidance.
ASking your questions which have no answers other than sheer speculation & theory (on either side of the creation/evolution argument) of a group of intelligent non-believers is sheer folly.

As an agnosticm, I can say that I don't give a rat's ass whether there's a God or not. If there is a God, he/she/it is not influencing the way I live my life in the present. I live my life the way I do for self-fulfillment and to leave a positive impact on those I interact with on a daily basis. No teachings of any of the world's religions have taught me this.
If there's a God, and I'm wrong in my general disbelief, then so be it. I'll serve eternity in hell or purgatory or whatever. It's the price I'll pay for making an incorrect choice. Granted, I don't fear this, since I don't believe in hell, purgatory or heaven.

I guess I'll find out when I die.
