Heh, the organized sheep of religion have very long been at their insanity. Do you not remember? AC/DC is "the antichrist-devil child" and Dungeons and Dragons makes your kids go crazy and kill their friends.

Its not any different than any other big fat group of "bleeting" heart sheep saying that Marijuana users are terrorists. Or that Fred Rogers was a sniper. Its all BS and usually, its reflective of the source.

I smell poo... les cover dat **** up with some senso

the email this fellow apparently received was a joke intended to poke fun about how fundamentalist christians react to anything that they dont understand or that wont follow their way of belief.

i found it kind of amusing, myself, especially when freetheweed goes on talking about the "First Church of Satan" (which doesnt exist, btw) and how he is a "LaVain" (LaVeyan, if there really was such a thing, learn to spell) and how the high priest of the "First Church of Satan's (again, doesnt exist, the one and only true church of Satan is called just that, the Church of Satan) name is really David (it isnt. at this moment the church is run by Blanche Barton, Mr. LaVey's consort ) and how the priests use their real names (which of course, they dont. hi, i'm Reverend Judas, Church of Satan. do you think my parents named me that? )

the only thing freetheweed does seem to know about the Church, is that we do not actually worship the being known as Satan...

....more accurately, we revere and hold sacred those things which are attributed to him, and which are wrongly attributed as being evil (some examples? how about Anger, Lust, Envy, Greed? nothing wrong with any of them. i can clarify this point if need be, or you could be intrepid and go to the CoS webring and read for yourself )

this email and post are a perfect example of people who dont know what the f**k they are talking about, and the people who ridicule them.

i love it.

Silent bob got this one right...

I'm an atheist, and when I went through my sort of realization that there isn't a god, I did a lot of research on both sides. Some of the things I read and heard really frightened me, mainly because of the absolute seriousness of them...

I wrote a letter to the paper when a local Christian nut went on a rant, and a ton of fundamentalist preachers decided they were going to "convert" me back to Christianity. I met one for coffee to discuss the issue, and he was a real lunatic.

You guys don't believe people are like this? Take a look here and here...

They may not be all over the place, but this kind of thinking does persist.....

Too many people, too many general statements.

Yes, there is many fanatical christians, there is also nuts atheists, and wicca's, and what have you. There is also perfectly normal people of those religions.

And a group of christains took family guy off the air...I have recently shunned them

Hey there are some kickass Christians... I even know some catholics that are pretty cool... what it all comes down to is how powerful your influence is on others. If you are constantly comparing things in my life to parables from the bible, you're only going to irritate me. But i welcome intelligent religious debate, its healthy as is any debate, and stimulates creativity and potentially, in those so inclined, faith. I am agnostic, and next to Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales, and Bullfinch's Mythology, i count it as one of the greatest works of fiction ever. I dont pretend to forsee what will or could happen, and to conject so is arrogance. The truth is, i went through that phase in high school, studying religions across the world with an open mind. We just arent supposed to know, so I live my life the best i can, and do the best i can for others and when its all over, no matter what they say, i can say i did my best... to tell whoever it is in charge that if they dont like it, they can kiss my ass, because i never recieved the ****ing memo.

My friend Judas is a bit more aggressive in his beliefs, but he is well rooted so, and it fits him, trust me.

Well, I guess if your name is Judas, and your a christian, you'd have to have a very strong faith...or else!

How did family guy ever become a topic in this post?
