Default Scientologist at Work

Yesterday was interesting, to say the least. Heres a short pre story-(My sister, is 21, her name is Tara, she has been a scientologist for a little more than a year. Since she has become a scientologist she has lost all her friends, sanity, and ability to do good things. I have supported kicking her out of our house and stoping to pay for her evil game of a life. My parents believe she can get better, for the last 3 years things have only got worse. They continue to give her almost everything she wants, and she never even says "thanks.")

Yesterday I was sitting at home, day off, on the computer playing starcraft, toking up every couple hours. Minding my own buisness as usual, my sister doing her usual, eating, reading books on scientology, harassing me, and *****ing about her life. She said, "Maybe today for once ill be nice to Mom and Dad when they come home, wouldn't that be weird." She said, "Why is my life so messed up?" I said, "Your too vicious, you attack, harass and manipulate us in the name of scientology." "I understand." She replied with a slight bit of positive understanding. I thought, maybe tonight wont be so bad, Tara might not attack my parents physically and harass them constantly.

Maybe I won't have to tackle my sister as she beats the **** out of my mom, screaming, furious, and determened to hurt because my mom doubted scientology, like I did the day before.

My parents come home, my sister stands up, walks up to my dad and with pure hate in her eyes says "I know what you did." (Shes refering to her assumption, admitedly without a pinch of evidence, that my parents are doing cocaine in secret)
She opens the silverware drawer, busts out the biggest knife and prepares to stab or slice my dad. My dad grabs her wrists, screams for help to remove the knife from her firm grasp of rage. Without delay or hesitation I ran over and pryed the knife from her hands, I restrained her but her 160 pounds of pure anger could not be easily stoped. She fought and screamed until she slowly became subdued from exaustion.

*Knock* *Knock* Somebodies at the door, ohh its just the cops.

They enter, Talk about the situation, decide wether my sister needs to be removed.

My dad negotiates taking her to a hotel for the night, flying her to seattle in the morning. They do that in haste, joy of temporary solution and peace.

I flee to the restroom for a celebration bowl.

My sister is gone for now, but I wonder why my parents still fuel her useless terror and life in vein because of illusionary hope.

$cientology believes in perfection, that they know the path, and will stop at nothing to force that path onto everyone or kill them if they stand the way. Real Life Stories, Real Life Problems. This is not a relgion, this is a fraud, a harmful, brainwashing, and two faced cult. Scientology isn't just something that comedians make jokes about, its an evil orginization that has a history of fraud, murder, brainwashing, harassment, and endless deceit. Their members follow a dead science fiction writer and will die like the nazi's to make the world what they want, destruction to bring their illusion of peace.

I don't usually post in this forum, but this time I did, and not only did I want to share a story I wanted to share a point. Scientology and Scientologists cannot just be ignored, they must be exposed and forced to stop their evil ways. They don't deserve tax exemption, nor do they even deserve a buisness license. These people are not your regular church folk, they are 2 faced evil and devoted cultists, dilusional, coercive and useless. Some people have lived through great tragedy, but some people are depressed when they only have reason to be happy. My family may be messed up, but I can still find the good things in almost everything. I am Happy.

man, life has its little ways of screwing with u randomly and the drama never ending. everyone goes thru it, itz a part of life. i'm glad no one in ur family got hurt that day from ur sister's drama.

sometimes we gotta step back, smoke a bowl (this helps a lot ), and reevaluate the situations in our lives. i am baffled at all these celebrities that endorse scientology as if it is somehow superior (kirtie alley is a biotch ). i hope your sister gets her life on track...as well as all of us having too much drama right now in our lives. we'll get thru it together

Sorry to hear about your family situation, it sounds like a nightmare.

But I think you're being a bit harsh on Scientology as a whole. I think you're referring more to the extremists, rather than people like Tom Cruise, who I could never believe would act like your sister, we'd hear about it. It's just like extremists of most religions, I think. Not all Muslims want to end Western life, not all Christians think homosexuals are the devil.

Default FYI

Scientology was never meant to be a religion. It was originally known as "Dianetics" (sp?) one of many self help books authored by L. Ron Hubbard. If you can get a hold of one of the original texts you'll see that much of what L. Ron says is actually good advice on day to day living. But after he died some nutjobs declared him a messiah and his self help book became a bible.

I'm not sure where the moniker "Scientology" came from, it even has a bogus ring to it.

I read the link which you provided, Herb Ninja (you may want to edit it, as it's including the comma in the link), and even from the first three paragraphs I'm sharing Mr M's view on it! Reading on, and it just seems a joke! Surely people couldn't be some dumb to be roped into it? (No offense intended toward your sis, Herb Ninja.) I'm sorry to hear that things aren't so good at the minute, but as long as you keep practising "herbology", I'm sure you'll do fine! Best wishes.

Panama got it more or less right...

I tried to do some research on Scientology a few years back, but there's not much out there about the actual internal workings of the organization. I contacted the Toronto chapter of Scientology, and they just wanted me to come up for a "session".

Having heard stories about what they do during "sessions", I declined, but they persisted. Ironically, during the brief correspondance, they asked what the annual household income was. I vaguely answered, and that seemed to encourage them even further.

I honestly wouldn't get involved in that organization if someone had a gun to my head. I've read too many accounts from people who have been "ex-communicated", and it definitely fits the description of a cult.

As for Tom Cruise, if I recall correctly, either he or Nicole Kidman recently quit Scientology, I remember reading that somewhere. Kind of odd, I've actually met Tom Cruise, and he was a pretty interesting guy, although it was quite some time ago up north, before the Scientology days.

Herbninja, hopefully your sister can pull herself out of it. From what I understand, the scientologists prey on people with deep underlying psychological problems, and your sister may fit this category. It sounds as though her difficulties go further than just her beliefs, and she may need intensive treatment to help her. Hopefully she'll come out alright.

Having just clicked on Herbninja's link, I wish I had found this one earlier. I'm going to read as much as I can, hopefully I won't become a believer....
