How many people that smoke pot would classify themselves as an Atheist. And could that be part of the reason it is illegal. An UNGODLY act. I know there are versus' in that Bible that state it isnt a bad thing but, the distorted interpertation of the politicians make it look and show like it is.

I smoke weed and believe in god. when you talk about smoking weed as an ungodly act, the way i think of it is. marijuana is a plant and god put all the plants on the earth. so if he put marijuana on the planet then he wanted us to smoke it. makes sense

The reason why it seems all those right-winged Christians out there are against MJ is because... they are right-winged! They are very patriotic and think that every law the government passed is correct.

Religious people in general don't have anything against MJ in terms of ethics. In fact, it is a pretty big part of Hinduism in India (not everyone smokes obviously, but the Sadhus or holy men do it as a way to get closer to Shiva... or something along those lines).

My great-aunt is a strict catholic, but she doesn't think MJ is bad. She even smoked a few times with my dad back when he was a teenager

Well didn't alot of our founding fathers, for those of us that are americans, grow hemp? It is faulty logic to equate pot smokers with atheists I think too. I'm not an atheist and I can safely say that a boatload of other smokers aren't either.

i'm not an atheist but i'm definetly not christian either. buddhism and taoism interest me buti'm not eitherof those. i guess i am a schwastafarian.

i'm no expert bout it but isn't rastafari a religion based on ganja smoking to contact their creator or something, like peyote (sp?) is to some american indians?
