What I don't understand is that my post was Biblically-based, and sound, and they STILL wouldn't confront the issue....and I wasn't even talking about recreational use, just medicinal.

This i just cannot understand. If you have so much faith in what you believe why do you feel the need to get others to believe it? Isnt your conviction in your faith enough to get you to leave non believers alone? Since when was religion something you have to recruit members for anyway, that sounds like cultism to me.

The Christians to whom you are referring are the ones who are basically following in the footsteps of the apostles, who were led by God to be very confrontational....but what people don't understand is they were commanded to do this because they were basically trying to start a worldwide religion, and needed to be confrontational to get their message across, and accepted.
In this day and age, Christians shouldn't have to approach it this way, because Christianity is already established, and people don't need to be confronted because everyone already knows what Christianity is. Besides, it's not even our job to try to "convince them," that's God's.

Yet i have met my fair share of christians who dont care what you believe. Its kind of like a quote my friend told me,

"Christianity is like heavy metal, unfortunatly the loudest most idiotic ones get all of the attention and set the negative image for everyone else."

SO TRUE....and the irony of it is, this is EXACTLY how the Bible tells us NOT to be. My old church used to try to get us all to go door-to-door on Saturdays and witness, and I basically said no way!!! Ya, the Bible tells us to talk to people about our faith, but not to annoy them. This accomplishes nothing except aggravating the people we're trying to win.

I kind of screwed up on the post above....all of my responses are bold-faced, along with the quotes. I just can't seem to figure out how to separate quotes from responses. Sorry about that!!!

The difference with MJ is that you can defend it. With religeon you can't really prove anything.
