Default Christian message board

Hey, you guys, get this...
Last night, I was posting on a Christian message board, and I started a debate about marijuana. Surprisingly, there were a few people who had nothing against it, recreational or medicinal, although the majority were against it. I brought up different arguments and such, but when I woke up this morning, I founf my topic had been deleted.
Well, I then started another thread apologizing if I had offended anybody, and stating that the reason so many people cannot take Christianity seriously is because they cannot defend their beliefs. I also said that we are on the verge of legalization, and they had better start confronting the issue ad getting their beliefs settled, but then an hour later, I found that thread had been deleted as well.
What a crock of dung...and Christians wonder why people don't take them seriously!!! I have nothing at all against Christianity or Christ, but I swear, some of these Christians are just pathetic. They have no defense, so they run. Oh, ya, I'm sure Christ would've done that. Idiots!!!!!!!!!

Hey I was just reading something about how Christ was a user of the great herb. He also apparently heald people with the great herb. If I remember where I found it I'll post up a link to the article. Untill then, peace.

Wonder what the big deal is. I mean, WE don't go around deleting posts about JESUS do we? Isn't JESUS an off topic substance?

It's not a matter of 'cannot' but just 'why bother'. They have faith in their beliefs, so why bother defending them or trying to explain them to someone who doesn't really understand, or is just trying to make them look foolish because of their devotion?

Example:

If someone starts ragging on you about MJ and is one of those ignorant people that will not consider what you have said and just keep saying 'No, it's wrong', than you would eventually give up on them and say whatever... right?

Well many people (lately, christians) have been under fire because of their religion, mostly because of the internet. I doubt the majority of 'Christianity Sucks' people would sit down and have a mature debate and actually think about the other person's words face to face with the people they are bickering with.

Why do people insist on getting involved with other's beliefs? I usually defend and discuss religions on a general level, but rarely talk about my own beliefs. This is because I KNOW people would simply waste my time by questioning things they don't really care to hear about... they just get off on arguing.

Ah I got off on a tangent.

Like I've said many times before, I never hear people (on these boards or in real life) go on and on about other religions, because that is racist.

Religion isn't the same as the government! It is not a democracy! If you don't like it, tough luck...

And yeah, deleting your thread may not have been a mature thing (I don't think it was), but it is a christain board. When we get those people from the anti-drug boards on here, we just get annoyed and want to delete it. Why? Because we, like them, have been pestered by so many ignorant people that don't know what they are saying that we have become a little to sensitive about it.

Their board is a little community like ours. We like to take it easy and be mellow while talking and asking questions about cannabis. They do the same thing, but with God.

So just take it easy and be sensitive to other's beliefs, mainstream or otherwise.

I saw an awesome show on the Discovery channel, I think it was called 'Jesus in the Himalayans'. It pointed to some pretty convinvcing evidence that Jesus travelled around India and even in Tibet, which would explain the very close similiarities to Christianity and Buddhism.

So who knows, maybe he picked up a hookah in India and had a little fun before he settled down?

I belong to a Christian messageboard too, tho I am not, by their standards, Christian.

I like to see all the different viewpoints, no matter how angry I get. Sometimes ya just gotta step back and calm down for a bit.

One thing i will never understand about most die hard christians is the way they carry themselves around others.

They claim to have this awesome faith, no matter what you say they believe in their religion and their god and thats that. Yet these are for the most part the same people who see someone who isnt christian as "unenlightened" and then try and persuade them to accept christ into their lives.

This i just cannot understand. If you have so much faith in what you believe why do you feel the need to get others to believe it? Isnt your conviction in your faith enough to get you to leave non believers alone? Since when was religion something you have to recruit members for anyway, that sounds like cultism to me.

Yet i have met my fair share of christians who dont care what you believe. Its kind of like a quote my friend told me,

"Christianity is like heavy metal, unfortunatly the loudest most idiotic ones get all of the attention and set the negative image for everyone else"

With people like Jerry Falwell in this world that quote cannot be any more true.

Still though i dont condemn faith one bit, i encourage people to find faith in whatever they can. I just dont agree with any faith that feels they are right and wont take a moment to consider that they just might not be.

Maybe if i was exposed to more open minded christians i wouldnt feel so strongly about the negative values of their faith but, when alls i see is people telling me im going to hell and that im a satanist simply because i dont go with mainstream religion i cant entertain for a moment that these people are anything but ignorant savages and should be treated as such.

Sorry but thats just how i feel.
