It seems to me that when people think of the word 'God', they picture a guy way up in heaven, watching down on us, 10 Commandments in hand. That simply isn't the case. When you think of God, I think anyway, you should think of an omnipotent being all around us. Yahweh isn't the only God. Christianity isn't the only religion. The age old question, 'If God created everything, who created God?' can be solved simply if you think of it this way. We, in fact, ARE God. All of use comprise a single entity that gave life to us. What separates something from being alive and something being dead? Moving Around? Robots can move. Breathing? Algae doesn't breathe. Using oxygen? Plants rely on carbon monoxide. Feeding? Fire feeds. There's something that seperates life from death, and that thing is called a soul. And a soul, is in fact, the essence of a God, whomever you might call It.


Of course, I might be wrong.

I always felt like god was kind of like the force in the movie star wars . I think that force is in everything and everyone .

the force is present in everything you can see , and everything you cant .

It is the all in creation , god is the host of this life's drama, the conductor. we are his instruments

Usually simple logic explains things :

Most people envision god as a white guy with the Ten Commandments. Christianity is one of the largest religions in the world and is the most 'commercial' one.

So instead of saying Christianity has a monopoly, couldn't you just say 'Christians, one of the majorities in the world, prefer to illustrate their god as such...'.

i'm not sure about this, but i believe that christianity is the only releigion whose uses the word 'god' as the name of their deity. all the ones i can think of have a different name for their deity, like allah, shiva, ect...

The first Name used for God in scripture is Elohim.
Variations on this name are El, Eloha, Elohai (my God) & Elohaynu (our God).

God is also known as El Shaddai. This Name is usually translated as "God Almighty."


"YHVH Tzva'ot" This Name is normally translated as "Lord of Hosts."

Adonai...as in Baruch atah Adonai..Elohenu melech ha' aolam.

There are over 100 names for G-d in Hebrew. Technically, it shouldn't be printed unless the material it is written upon is disposed of in the proper manner.

i'm getting a flashback from a movie that delt with the name of god. i think it was called "pi", but with the symbol, not the word. from what i remember, they were useing the letters from his name and rearangeing them in every possible combination, but i can't remember why, something about the torah(jewish bible, maybe wrong with that name) maybe...?
