There are way too many religions to ever believe that one is right and the others are all wrong, I do believe there is a creator ....be it some "big bang" or some "all mighty essence" ill never know until I'm gone. I myself do know the difference from wrong and right, when I feel my rights are being pushed to the limit I know what to obey and what not to. I believe nobody should live a life where they have to hold back their emotions , actions, or thoughts because a book or government says so, unless it involves hurting somebody else.

sorry about the sheep comment I was more meaning anybody who believes that the way they live is the correct way is a sheep, what you consider the "correct" way to live your neighbor may not.

I just don't like living my life fearing that if I make a mistake or if I think "wrong" then I will get eternal hellfire for it, if that was true why would "god" give us a mind to think with in the first place?

For you maybe. I would disagree with the statement on the grounds that there are plenty of people believing that their religion is right.

I respect you and your beliefs, but... How can you say that you believe in a creator and then be so causal about it? How do you know that there is a creator? It is sad that you believe in a creator and yet you have no clue what it is and then go on to say that it is going to be that way until you are dead. I challenge you to figure out who this Creator is prior to you dying.

None of us likes the concequences for our actions. It doesn't change the fact that there are debts that we have to pay. What do we do then? Change the rules. Some will say, "I don't like Christianity because of (insert reason here". Well, it ain't the point if a person likes it or not. The point is, "Is it true?" Think of this for a sec... If there is a creator, you should do what he wants.

i was a christian and went to church heavily for 3-4 years but that just wasnt the religion for me, i do search for my creator and always will, its just not an easy thing to find when everybody believes that their religion is right. I try not to disrespect any religion because it takes a lot of conviction to believe one and only one thing out of the hundreds of thousands of different "versions" so to speak ...even if i dont agree or understand where they are coming from.. who am i to say they are wrong?

The reason i say i will find out when im dead is because the search is far too broad for me (1 person) to ever truly explore all the options and figure out what one I believe is the one that is correct. Religion is a hard thing for me to grasp because they all have points that make sense and points that are absoloutly rediculous (in my opinion).

So my view on all of this is "do what i believe is right" and if it turns out i was wrong i am fully willing to take any punishment, and if i was right and living off of my instincts got me to where i was supposed to go then yahoo....i got a 50/50 chance but to me it feels more 90/10 because i truly believe as long as i harm nobody and continue to be a peacefull person...i don't see how could any god or gods punish me for this...but like i said ill find out when im gone.

but then again who knows...maybe in the years to come we will all find out and be witness to something truly great..pushing all doubts aside and allowing man to live in peace and harmony, but with the community and earth looking how it is today...i wish it would happen sooner than later...k my brain hurts

Reading this thread is a lot better high....

Man... I am sorry if I sound like such a weenie at times.

I really respect others for what they believe and where they are at. It is just hard for me to understand why so many believe in God but cannot put a finger on what God is.

At the same time, I truely don't have faith that my Christian beliefs are true, so... I am sad for myself also. At the same time, I do try to learn the truth, and try to figure out what is right and wrong. I guess all we can really do is search for the truth....
