I don't understand why,when discussing religion,so many feel the need to tell the rest of us what we should, or shouldn't do,and how it should be done.If you're so @#&$^%* smart,what are you doing here?Wouldn't a church be a better place to get your message across?

Actually, the deeper I get into Scripture, the more I realize that this sort of moralistic idealism is WRONG. "Judge not, lest ye be judged." Sorry if I came off that way....if MJ brings about a sense of spirituality for you, who am I to say otherwise!!!!

Second, I'm pretty sure I didn't try to convert anyone, I just said I think society has ruined alot of things, since they clearly have. And by telling people that they shouldn't tell people what they believe you are in fact, telling them what to do

That's because you aren't thinking about it in the right way; stop using your logical and physical mind, and use your spiritual mind, things become more clear. This isn't a science book we're talking about, it's spiritual, so it has to be treated like so to understand it. Adam and Eve could or could not be real, but they also could just be symbols used to teach a lesson, a parable.

Exactly what I've been saying too for the past year and a half... which helped break up me and my last girlfriend (no complaints here).
Jesus used parables to teach, so why take everything in the bible literally?

I think that the bible is a collection of people's ideas. I don't believe that the Christian God exists as many people would have him exist (old bearded guy sitting in heaven). Rather, I believe it is a collective unity of the human spirit. Not quite like Emerson believed, but something along those lines.

The Adam and Eve story is the concept of free will, IMHO. Mankind developed the ability and desire to distinguish between good and evil.

But anyways, that's off-topic from the thread. Yes, I do believe cannabis existed in biblical times.

There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven nor hell. There is only our natural world. Religion is but a myth and a superstition, which hardens hearts and enslaves minds. Therefore, I totally do not believe in your bible. Especially an xian bible. So everyone that believes that there are no gods, and everyone that believes in "Budda" (sp?), "Zeus", or any other god or goddess or whatever, is going straight to hell. "You won't pass go, you'll never f***in' win..." How is that for prejedice (sp?).
