ok heres the what if, since no faith KNOWS for sure what happens, im possing this what if question

you always here these people saying the devil made me do this or that or they say they sold their soul to the devil for this or that, ok what if just by saying that your soul is automaticaly granted over to the devil. thats all it took, it doesnt matter if you ment it or did it, just the fact alone that you admited the devil did this or that for you makes you gulity and thus you get sent sent to hell persay

well if thats the case id have to say heaven must be a baren place... I think everyone has said those words some point in there life even if it was just to say "People who say the devil made me do it are lame" or somthing, along those lines.

I believe that the "devil" and "temptation" is simply your animal side or instincts battleing out with your rational or "human" side. People who are "possesed" are either mentally ill or their simply letting there animal instincts take control of them. With this in account,its a lame ass excuse nowdays to say that "the devil made me do it" its about the same ignorance that prompts some people to say "drugs(illegal) made me do it!" its simply a lame ass scapegoat for the real problem: the person did it and is completely responsiible for their actions.

I'm almost afraid to think that the "devil" could make me do anything, i like to think that i am in control of my own life and deep down hope that no one can make me do anything i dont want to. Maybe there's some bad moonshine going around if the devils making people do stuff. I've thought about what it would be like if someone sold their soul to the devil, tried to weigh the pluses and minuses(damn i need to get a scale, not just for weighing pluses and minuses either) and decided eternal damnation, fire and brimstone is really not worth anything material

well i don't think there is a devil..i just think the devil is just a feeling we have like anger except this one we can't control......really i don't believe in anything i don't know about.....

If you do something wrong, it's on you! You commited the deed, you were not possessed by a being or substance. Don't pass the blame off on something that can't defend against itself. Take responsibility and be a man.

You shouldn't have done the bad deed to begin with.

I agree with your post, Knatty. If you do something wrong, you are to blame. This is the belief held by most Christians, that you are responsible for your actions, (and this is one of my biggest problems with Christianity, the double standards) yet, if someone does something good or recieves a reward, they automatically thank God. They give all the credit to God. On this standard, shouldn't they curse the devil when they do something bad?

Pride may be a sin, but damnit I'm proud of myself when I do something good. God has a big enough head already.

Jah gives man free will. You do what you do, and if you do something good, it shows the goodness of your character. Not god's preference in you, or his power to make you do what he wants.
