I completely agree about spirituality. I consider myself to be much more spiritual than I do religious, mostly because I see religion as man-made and spirituality seems to promote growth.

No, the spiritual is in us, not in a deity as I see it. I see myself as a spiritual person, but I have tried the other way and the spirit is not outside of me but a part of me.......

That's the way I see it.......I hope you can understand........

Love ya Viper....... Great comments.......

Yes, yes, Lets have some fun here!

[quote;dedbr]Spirituality is in the eye of the beholder]

I totally agree with that dedbr, but lets not forget that "spirit" was invented by men that could not accept that something so intelligent (US) could stop to exist ones the body dies. For thousands of years men wrapped them selves in a cocoon of superstition, that started as a hope "that there is something there after death" we can't just die and thats it. I know truth hearts really, but thats the truth men, you live as long as your physical body can take the abuse you put in on it and then just stops working. Mainly your immune system gives up. Just like a car that run out of gas.
Hopefully soon the "church" will allow science to continue with the cloning of human parts, and then each of us can have organs that he needs to live for many more years.
WHY is just so hard for all men to accept that?
I do believe we will live a much better life, since there is no hope for eternal life after you die. So, you WILL try to enjoy your short stay here, and accept death with open arms, cause you never really die, YOU live in the memories of your loved ones you left behind. <My mother is been dead for 35 years, and I still remember her, she lives for ever in my memories.>
(Sorry a little too stone)

But I'll like to go on for a little longer and pick a bone with Viper that sounds like a religious person but yet he doesn't see that the next chair to dedbr's in the fires of hell is HIS.

Viper says:
"Dedbr....you're my kind of man." the devil said as he prepared Dedbr's seat in the pits of Hell.

Correct me if my wrong, but if you smoke pot ( an impurity) you are going straight to hell, am I wrong here?
Thinking of it, caffeine is an impurity also, so I think all bible followers should stop drinking coffee.
Come on Viper, make sense, accept it, its alright, we will have fun in hell, most likely all your friends will be there!

I just don't get it, how anyone who smokes can really say that they are Christians and hope to get to "heaven" one day, when they are destroying the body that doesn't belong to them? That was given to them by "God" so they can live in this material world that we call earth a miserable existence full of virus and sicknesses for a short 60-70 years doing "HIS WILL" so your spirit can end up in "heaven" (a place that you wont be able to get high, be around people that you normally wont hang out with, and the animals wont eat each other),(yup everyone of them will turn vegetarian in one day and evolution will give them new set of teeth to chew on grass etc...) I'm sorry, but this is about the biggest bullshit story ever told.
But opinions are like elbows. Everyone of us has two. Personally, I like to stick with this one:
Live Free,Live Long, Be Good, and Die Well!

Peace
Live Free and Die well.

I don't think the devil cares whether you smoke pot or not, unless it makes you horny for little boys or something like that.

You asked for this one Lou...

You said "correct me if I'm wrong", so here goes.

Jesus said it is not that which goes into a mans mouth which defiles him, but that which comes out. Mel Gibson being the perfect example of this. Did the alcohol he consumed the night he got busted cause his anti-semitic rant, or was it already in his heart, and the alcohol simply allowed what was already there to come out? The consumption of the alcohol wasn't what defiled him, it was the contents of his heart.

Whenever I come across a Christian who believes that cannabis is the devils weed, I like to ask them who exactly created it. Then told man to eat it. I could go on about how it is the active ingredient in the holy anointing oil of the old testament (the same oil that made Jesus the Christ (Christ meaning literally anointed one) Rub some of that on your head and see if you don't find yourself talking to God ) Or how it conforms to the plant of renowned that produces many fruits (products) whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. Some believe that it is the tree of life, I sometimes wonder if it isn't the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Apparently we aren't supposed to know or we would and life wouldn't be quite the test that it is...

In the Aquarian gospel listed in my sig, Jesus points out that everyone is redeemed eventually. It will just take a very long time.

It really is an interesting read, lots of correlation to what quantum physics is trying to tell us today. However if reading is too much for you, the movie will be out in 09 or so the rumor goes. The people who put together the Secret are working on it.

Peace and Love,

I would rather be with you guys in hell, than with a bunch of religious freaks in heaven Viper. As long as we know where we are going.

Sounds like you have been reading the Sumerian texts Logos, which by the way it makes much more sense than the Bible. Besides, lets not forget that some of the parts in the Bible are from Sumerian scripts.

If they are part of the Gnostic bible, then I have read them, otherwise, I have read more than I have space to list, and from many different angles, yet, the more I learn, the less I know. The Aquarian Gospel is by far my favorite, and it includes those missing years that never made it to the new testament.

My second favorite is the Hermetic philosophy of the ancient Egyptians.

My third would have to be the Tao

My favorite sacrament is cannabis, hence my involvement with the THC Ministry...

Peace and Love,
Admit it...you just want to smoke to get high and feel good. Tell the truth, you don't need any kind of religious mumbo jumbo to justify your desire to smoke recreationally.
