Default Tom Cruise on Scientology

I was laughing while watching this, what a fucking brainwashed dolt. Scientology is a fucking joke, just like this puppet known as Tom Cruise... The way he talks in this video, ugh, It's like he's an actor playing on the stage of absolute insanity - "It's a blast, it's just a blast - it really is fun - because damn it there is nothing better than going out there and fighting the fight and knowing that things are now better".

If you don't want to listen to all his mumbo jumbo - skip to the last full minute or so. You will either cringe or your sides will start hurting from laughter...

The Cruise Indoctrination...

Wow...the guy tries to be more profound than he really is. Amazing what kind of religion a science fiction writer can bolster.

So no one else has to guess what he's talking about, I looked up the acronyms.

KSW - Keep Scientology Working - The "religion's" collection of papers to outline Scientologist conduct.

SP - Suppressive Person - someone who acts outside social bounds, seeks to insult or deride a person or group, without conscience. It's analogous to antisocial personality disorder.

PTS - Potential Trouble Sources - as I understand it, people affected by SPs.

LRH Technology - An attempt to make the Scientology founder's name into an acronym to make their product sound more punchy.

Somewhere along the lines someone passed me a Scientology booklet. Lots of good common sense info like treat your fellow human with respect and whatnot... When I got to the part where it said one is duty bound to follow the laws of the land, I put it down, and never picked it back up.

However when I was in Korea serving in the Army, I did read all of LRH's Mission Earth series. (About 6000 pages of pure science fiction). It was a decent story, but some books were almost work to get through. I knocked it out in roughly 2.5 months, but most of my day (and your tax dollars) were spent reading.

I also read his Battlefield Earth story, (roughly 2000 paperback pages that the movie could never do justice to) I enjoyed it, and I suppose the one thing that stood out was the liberal use of positive reinforcement. I seem to recall another story titled Buckskin Brigade that was pretty good. Otherwise, I have never read Dyanetics or any of his religious works.

Basically he is a guy who figured if people were simply kind to each other, maybe the world would be a better place. Nothing different than any other religious teacher has stated, and it is really only proof positive that someone will become fanatical about any religious doctrine.

Religion has become just another tool of human separation. Coming together is the only thing that will herald peace on earth and good will towards men.

I didn't watch the video, so my comments are only for your amusement...

Peace and Love

Cool

L Ron was the one that said, "Ya wanna get rich? Start a religion".

I hate to say this, and I hope none of our Scientologist brethren are offended, but I have to ask this question?

Who the fuch would be stupid enough to buy this shit? Help me out. I mean besides Tom Cruise?

I think I'll just leave it at this........If I had enough money, what kind of a religion could I make?

The Church of Getting Stoned........No money needed.......A real free enterprise..........

Alriiight, I'm in! I bring offerings of....

papers! and a lighter! I don't have any of our holy herb to share, so I figure I'd bring the proper accessories

And then, God struck his lighter and held his flame to the cylindrical joint of the Holy Spirit. Before our very eyes he was able to turn marijuana into ash, and he shared his fruits with all of his followers! Paraaaaiise the Heavenly Fatha!

Oops.
*ahem* Back to how Tom Cruise is a complete fucking psycho

I think I liked your first idea better.

Tom Cruise even goes as far as saying he wishes that he could see the day that there would be no more people that didn't believe in Scientology . That's a bit...disturbing.
I wish he made more sense though. He's vague about every single thing he talks about in that interview.

Poor Katie Holmes. She's too damn cute to be stuck in that whirlwind.

I don't think this is any less insane than the murder of millions during the Crusades. I don't think this is any less insane than believing in Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, etc etc. There are people just as fanatical about any religion on earth and we have just as much proof about those religions as we do Scientology. It just shows that the media is not only religion biased and prejudiced, but completely ignorant to their hypocrisy on the matter. I personally like Tom Cruise as an actor, given: he is an insane individual. Bottom line: We have overlooked our own fanaticism to criticize the fanaticism of another. Stepping off my soapbox.

Dark, at this point I wouldn't be surprised if Katie Holmes was as crazy, or crazier than Tom. Hahaha. She is cute though.

Back during WWII, the government sponsored a "think tank" of the day's leading science fiction writers, including such lights as Robert Heinlein and Isaac Asimov, to come up with ideas for futuristic weapons systems. It also included lesser lights, like L. Ron Hubbard. Robert Heinlein, in his autobiography, relates that one day Hubbard stated, "If you really want to make a lot of money, start a religion."

Cruise sounds like he's on some weird sort of drug. Or maybe he's just high from having his ego stroked by the church. He babbles and babbles and makes no sense at all.

Scientology sucks in ordinary people with all kinds of great promises. Then it drains their bank accounts by charging more and more for each step towards "enlightenment". People who leave the church are harassed and threatened. Anyone making a public statement against Scientology is sued, defamed, harassed, threatened, and sometimes physically attacked.

For celebrities, it's an entirely different story. They're treated like minor deities and given the world. They provide great shills for the church.
