I think I'm going to correct myself again and say that I cannot define my beliefs as my beliefs are placed in a higher power but a higher power which is so vague that I'm not sure that I can call it God. It somehow defies the feeling of divinity but indeed is set apart from all other beings in a way that I can't describe. It's one of those concepts that is almost impossible to verbalize; I seem to have envisioned It in one of the many enlightened daydreams that I have entertained.

I cannot disagree more with this statement, and the quotation marks around "prove" just strike me as ignorant. Science is about looking at the universe and describing it with rules. It's not about systematically destroying the word of God or anything, it just happens that sometimes the bible describes things differently than our own observations through scientific method.

Do you have any particular things that you would like to see science stop "proving?"

that's your opinion. In my opinion it's an ethical nightmare but not necessarily something we should avoid entirely.
yes, but not everybody follows the teachings of the bible, as you may have noticed.
