|  Forbidden Books of the Bible i watched this on the history channel last night, very interesting. these are the writings that did not make the bible canon. they were left out, they telll you why they were and there are some that may not yet be found, some of these books are part of the dead sea scrolls! you might catch it again the book of enoch, the book of jubilees, the gospel of thomas, the life of adam and eve, the Protevangelium of James, the Gospel of Mary, the Gospel of Nicodemus, and the Apocalypse of Peter. |

| Yeah, I seen some of it. Going to have to catch the rest, it was pretty interesting. We were getting a laugh here at work when I brought up the "the life of adam and eve". It's no surprise they didn't want it included. Religions, in general, tend to frown on incest, to say the least. According to this writing, Cain took his sister as his wife  Now, I don't know what they want us to think, but let's face it  If Adam and Eve started it all off, there had to be some inbreeding going on with the kids. How else would the world become populated

| I found a copy of the Gnostic Bible and borrowed it, it was truly fascinating, I reccommend it highly for a different perspective. In fact I have read all 800 pages of that book yet I have yet to complete the old testament. It is definitely interesting that some were included and others left out. The inquisition was one of those instances that left the world without a lot of valuable cultural scriptures. I'm glad that someone was able to stash the Nag Hamadi (sp) library away for us to find.
