Sociological Sense

Well after many many thoughts and puzzling my self with questions about what is life and religion and what is the power of the human spirit, I'm trying to find a Rastafarian Church or "group" not for anything else other than fellowship and help with my understanding of why I feel in my heart and soul from when I was a kid that I felt something was missing from my life. I knew I believed in GOD and in Jesus. But for some reason I felt I connected with the Rasta's. Anyone know of anyone who practice's? Or if there is a group located in the Southern California region?? Thanks a bunch. Peace and love...,

Are you serious about this? Why not check out some websites about the Rastafarian beliefs before trying to find a place to worship. Do you only feel connected because of your enjoyment of marijuana, or do you know more about it and why you are drawn to it?

FYI, apostrophes are not used with every word ending in 's'....

Yeah I've done some researching. AND NO I'M NOT INTO THIS BELIEFE JUST DUE TO MJ. I hate to even speak about "Being In TO" this belief. I dont just want a place where I can go and smoke weed. I want to LEARN MORE. Therefore I want to know if there are any around. I was once catholic and then became a Christian. I just can't bring myself to believe that GOD finds rightouesness in any war fought over land and "freedom". Thats why I have fallen away from any christian church. OH and FYI thanks for correcting my grammer.., I really really suck. But at any rate thanks for the "Info"

It sounds like you just want an excuse to smoke MJ. Have you even done any kind of research into the Rasta movement? There are still alot of Rastas out there that think the white man is the devil.

You know what?? I found what I needed. Found a place where I can "Worship" and NO I'm not finding a reason to just smoke MJ. Sir. Maybe you should ask a man about his ambition before bestowing. OH and I'm not sure of which Rastafarians your talking about when it comes to HATING a white man. Maybe you should do some research. Because I AM Rasta. Been it since I was born. And YES I have done much much "research". This is why it is hard for you to undestand..., because it is not "research" it is "UNDERSTANDING". It's not a religion it is a way of life.., and dont bother to define it.., because you can't define it in words. And I know many many rasta's that are white. So NO. to your answer. Maybe some one is misleading you to believe that many many Rasta's hate white. and maybe that is why you dislike them? I'm not sure what caused such backlash in this thread for me? Just asking? for a community of people? Named Rasta? Listen guys it seems that maybe you should relax..., Like I said in the beginning of this. I found what i needed. Found a community of Rastafarians.., Haile Selassie I. It's not about belief guys.., It's not something that determined through a doctrine. Because the doctrine has been tainted. It's about knowing that good will always conquer over evil. And the Love changes everything. Everything bows to LOVE. Whether you believe it or not. It's up to you. I dont judge anyone for that. ALL of them.., lol.., Your a sheep you dont understand, and that's why i wont waste my time trying to explain. I guess Bob Marley said it right when he said. "A commen sense man will understand." "So if a explain it to a baby.., a baby will understand." It's sad to see someone allow rascism control their life. You allow one group of people to answer for ALL. which is very sad. IT's like saying all WHITES are racist isn't it..., Maybe I should point out some qoutes of KKK meetings that are held in Mississippi still to this day? So should I believe that all whites are racist because one Group of Christians believe they are the Master Race? or the Perfect Race? Ofcourse not man. If you would take the time and see exactly what they are all about maybe you wont jump to conclusion. I'm sorry that their are misrepresentations.., of the Rastafarians. But I can promise you. It has nothing to do about hate and about color of skin. Our mission isone love.
