If you believe that God is truly the omnipotent, omniscience being in the Bible (benevolent, according to Christian texts), then he created us.

However, in my opinion we created him.

On a sort of a side note, why does the bible say "Let us create man in our image"? I thought there was only one God...

Maybe it is bad editing, I know it pervades most of the book. Which is why I don't worship it, at least I won't be accused of idolatry if it even matters...

Maybe, after all, there IS some truth in the Sumerian texts, that talk about two gods been worshiped by "Men". Reading the Bible with an open mind, one may see that clearly shows there are two completely different Deity's that manipulated men. (unless "God" had multiple personality's.) Just a thought. The multiple personalities in the Old Testament can be attributed to the multiple influences from different tribal cultures influencing the Jews throughout time. The Old Testament was only formalized into a single book (from multiple oral traditions, each of the 12 tribes having their own...) after Jesus' death.

No, actually it doesn't PPower, few years back I discover Halexandria Library in the net and I have to say, (been a very religious person in the past) that the info on that site is very accurate and open minded, and I was very curious about the story's surrounding the "Sumerian tablets" "Mayan calendars" and of course the "Bible", (which I have read over and over many of times.) And I do have to say that, when The Sumerians were talking about The creator and The God, they were talking about two different Beings, Ekki, and Ellie. Ekki The creator, (a scientist who took the Homoerectus and <did what evolution would have done in another 100.000 years > added a gin in his DNA and voilà, Home sepians are walking and thinking and Homoerectus , well, Extinction, it seems that the homosepians did not want to do anything with the ape looking Homoerectus. And it goes on and on for a long time, a very large web site I might say.
A very interesting one thought, read it with an open mind, absorb what is useful and discard what is not.
If one looks at the Bible very carefully will see that, in many areas God and Creator are completely two different thinking Beings. The one is always pisstoff on Men and the other always runs to give him something or help him.
When "God" says: Let US make ...., Who is 'US'? and who he is talking to?
Just curious, nothing else, don't really care very much if is one or two of them to tell you the truth, what it bother me more is, what about if the story's about the "Annunakis" are truth? Than what? Aliens were our creators? Holy shit! We all would have to change how we see life and the meaning behind it!
