Nothing like that can ever be done "carefully." However they do it, lives will be disrupted. Sometimes it's a good thing, other times it's not.

Cool

sterbo's article........

Quote:
But in the past week, the state has twice been forced to admit "girls" who gave birth while in state custody are actually adults. One was 22 and said she showed state officials a Utah birth certificate shortly after she and more than 400 minors were seized from the West Texas ranch in an April raid.
The state has in custody two dozen other young mothers and others whose ages are in dispute.
If most of them also turn out to be adults, it would be a severe blow to the state's claim of widespread sexual abuse.
The outcome of this raid is following the same road of all the other raids. The state doesn't want to admit they were wrong and will look for a way to get out from under it all.

Overkill at it's finest........" We had to destroy the town to save it...." I like that and it's an adequate description of what is happening. Stupid law dogs is my opinion......

Gee Tro, I don't remember anyone being charged with anything, especially child molestation. You seem to be ready with the tar and feathers but you don't have a lick of facts now do you? Sounds like vigilante justice to me....

Careful Tro, or I might be inclined to list you with the "stupid fucks"......

I said nothing, I merely quoted Ayn Rand on unsolicited opinions.

Sure, but what exactly is the pertinence of the quote to dedbr's post?

When you make a post in a semi public forum, aren't you asking for people to respond to your post or should I make the assumption that everything you say is the undisputable truth and leave it at that?

I didn't know Ayn Rand knew me, but here's a quote for her if she's listening......"My opinion has no bearing or value to another, that's why it's mine!"

Quote:
Careful Tro, or I might be inclined to list you with the "stupid fucks"......
It's my list and I'll add any body's name I want....... Innocent until CHARGED and PROVEN GUILTY! That's the law. We can condemn an act but not the person until they have been proven guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt, of a criminal offense. If somebody gets caught raping a little girl or boy, set fire to his or her crotch and then get the power drill out. I have no mercy or sympathy for them. I would be the punish-er and executioner if need be of people like this. How sick does that make me?

It seems to me that we paint this whole thing with too broad a brush. The news makes a big hoopla about it, throws in child molestation to make the splash and off we go to forming our own OPINIONS about what was going on. Mass forced rapes of "little girls" and "boys". Patriarchal despots who discard young boys who could be threats to the affections of the young girls.

If a person is raised to believe a certain way and then leaves for whatever reason, of course there might be some resentments they carry with them when they leave. For some time in the news we have been bombarded with the ease that men can have sex with young girls or boys via the internet. Now we have the supposed women who claim forced marriage and a life of service and subservience to the Patriarch.

Gee, life's tough. There are quite a few that have hard luck stories but they grow up and for the most part turned out pretty good.
