How many of you know of or are in fact a jehovah's witness yourself? and please don't be afraid to share your views on the subject....

Im not, dont know anybody that is. I dont really know their views on anything, so I cant comment much on how I feel about them. They are a bit annoying though.

I had a car load of them visit my house one day going door to door. I just told them I was busy and didnt have time to talk to them. I had some mormans visit one day too. I was pretty rude to them because they are a bit pushy.

I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness. However, I am not attending now. I'm not sure I'm into getting into a discussion about it, though.

I know when my Mother in Law was dying of cancer, the Jehovah's Witnesses visited her regularly. She was Baptist, but found comfort in their visits.

I know of many Jehovah's Witness'.

Some came buy selling religion sunday morning at 6:45AM selling their religion, I told them no thank you - I bought some Hindu last week.

I know a few Jehovah's witnesses, I find it an extremely odd religion to adhere to but I am not one to criticize. Believe what you want if it makes you happy.

The closest I've ever been to become a Jehovah's witness, was 2 years ago when I was in a deep depression and I was drinking allot. They came to my door, and by that time I was drinking all day. I invited them into my house, and my roommates girl came out of the room almost naked. And I had a bong on my table with a whole Lotta weed and empty beer cans. I for the life of me can't remember what they all have said. But, I do remember there faces. Priceless.

As far as people in that religion. I believe people are in pursuit of there own happiness. If they found it from that religion, then I am deeply happy for them and there journey. But its just not for me.

I doubt that you'll find any JW's on here. They're strongly against the use of any recreational drugs.

They used to wake me up on Sunday mornings until I came to the door stark naked one day. After that, they never called again. I prefer the Mormons. They, at least, send me pairs of attractive young women who are happy to discuss religion without threatening me with eternal damnation.

I have had quite a bit of experience with JW's, but never really considered becoming one myself.

When I lived in Portland, I had two separate pairs of guys coming to talk to me, I figured they knew, and were tag teaming me, but then one day while talking to one pair, the other pair walked up. I'm guessing they have loosely defined territories. I don't recall them ever being overly pushy with me, and for the most part I have enjoyed my conversations with them.

When I lived in Spokane, I had one show up one day, and I mentioned to him I was a minister, they never came back.

Where I live now, they show up once a month or so to hand deliver my Awake! and Watchtower magazines. We have some pleasant conversations about how fucked up the world is and how Christ's horse must have thrown a shoe because he should have been here five minutes ago. I find them pleasant enough, but they aren't very pushy with me.

I doubt I'll ever become a member of their particular religious franchise, but I don't mind talking to them once a month or so.

I don't think I have ever dealt with Mormons coming to my door, but I have known quite a few. THey are a tight knit group for sure.
