noam chomsky should run for president seriously the options don't look that good. Ron Paul to me seems just like another Ralph Nader in the sense that lots of marijuana smokers will dream of the great things they could do but they just won't ever get enough support to be real competition plus the election can obviously be rigged if you do some serious research into the 2000 election where the company counting votes compiled names of thousands of african american citizens and had them labeled as felons so they would not have the right to vote and if you recall Gore was the choice for many of them.

it's a sad fucked up world in lots of way but there's still lots of good people out there I just hope the Scum of the earth, the greedy materialistic sons of bitches get whats coming to them but in reality they will probably just get more money

Lets get rid of all these unnecessary government agencies and put the money back into our own pockets. I'm not saying this to sound greedy, I'm saying this due to the fact that the government should not be involved in everything I do. Lets get the government back into its proper role as defender of freedom, protector of our borders, and policemen of our criminals.

Nahhhh.... must be this weed -- making me paranoid.
It has nothing to do with the fact that the vast majority of Americans never cared about Ron Paul? It has to be a media conspiracy.

Seriously, outside from a very loyal following online, there really aren't that many people who ever 'cared' about Ron Paul. And don't give me those 'Vote online for your candidate' studies, as every single one has a Statistical Bias.

I would agree. However I still believe he is the best candidate. It is just hard for Americans as a whole to understand his Libertarian beliefs.

Good point!

People are sheep.

Just imagine if the mainstream media actually honestly portrayed Ron Paul for who he is. If they actually covered him more than an article here or there. He was brushed under the rug and thats a fuckin' fact.

Or we could just hope Americans start thinking for themselves.... but thats too much to ask, right now anyway

Cover the fact that he wants to revoke all public funding for public schools, that he wants each of the states of the union to have more self-determination in that they should be able to teach whatever they want, leaving the students futures in the hands of people who were picked from a much smaller talent pool than can be achieved on a federal level.

Cover the fact that he's against birthright citizenships, that being born here doesn't mean you're allowed to live here. When do you gain citizenship? After you join the military? After you turn 18? What if you turn 18 in another country, this have been spoken about extensively in other threads.

If people were given honest, unbiased facts about his opinions on foreign and domestic policy, I find it hard to believe that anyone would support.

Would you rather be led by an honest idiot who will lead you to hell, or a lying, thieving moron that might keep you political hack who might see us out of this recession?
